Did you get sick at Xbiz / Internext?
 

Just wondering : How many people got the flu / cold / sick after attending Xbiz and / or Internext?

It is such a common occurrence that industry people have been calling it "porn flu" for years

XBIZ and 8 days in Vegas - and I feel fine.

regardless of the show I always get bigtime sick in vegas!

I was there and didn't get sick. But, I've talked to quite a few people who did.

I got it in LA and spent most of Vegas in my room... :(

Trade shows are always full of germs. Mixture of travelling, hotels, and mixing with people from far away who have a different immune system.

Just getting over it now, next time no kissing wizzo!

I think a ton of people got sick. I was only slightly sick, but I think I gave it to my wife and she was super sick after I got back.

I wouldn't say I got officially sick but I definitely never feel right after the 2nd night in Vegas. Once it gets close to a week forget about it.

i haven't gotten sick from one of those trips myself. I don't drink a lot though so my immune system was running strong.

How do you handle juicing while traveling?

I lost my voice because I have to scream over loud ass fucking music and smoke for days.

But this year I did not get the annual Vegas flu, no.

I got the flu during Xbiz... Sorry! ;)

I didn't get sick but 4 people I know got food poising, hence Bellagio food.
Ohh and a girl got her ass cheek bitten off..
and girl on the right got bronchitis.

I was sick going into the show, then got better, and now am sick again today :(

Well, that can be an issue. Last year, MrPheer let me come over to his house and do some juicing. This year I was told that there was a new juice bar at the HRH, but when I went to check it out, I (and everyone else that went there) was quite disappointed. I was really looking forward to giving them some PR, but it sucked.

I think by the end of day two in Vegas I started losing my voice for the same reason. I just stopped talking for the night and avoided smoky suites (to the best of my ability). The next morning I was fine.

At first I regretted forgetting my cigars, but after dealing with that I was glad I left them at home.

I used to get sick all the time in Vegas. I swear it is all about the hand sanitizer. I have not gotten sick in the last 3 years of going there almost once a month. The casinos chips, elevator buttons, doors, it is really endless how you can get sick there.

I had to pull a Wizzie fo Shizzie and basically hide out in my room most of Tuesday with a bag of Halls. I did come down later in the evening to do my final meetings and planned to be in bed by midnight. A good 18 hours of rest did give me enough voice for my evening. At 4A, finally got to bed, and had to leave at 7A to catch my flight. Had to catch sleep on the flight back home.

It's all conferences however, not just Vegas. I do not do a lot of talking in my every day life, much less in a smokey ass environment for 18 hours a day plus screaming over loud ass music. With in a day or two, I pretty much have little voice left.

I was fine at Xbiz even though the weather was colder than expected. But my first day in Vegas I felt really tired, and spent the afternoon in the room. It didn't help that the heating didn't work and that the air condition was stuck on. I told HRH services but it wasn't fixed until the next day. Felt kinda sleepy on the plane trip home, but was coughing by the time I landed.

The next day and since then have felt awful and have been sick ever since. Today I can finally do some work, but all the coughing has wrecked my throat and now I can't talk! Had to let 2 sales calls slip through to voicemail today too. Damn.

Ya I lost my voice but and felt the usual post Vegas "Drain' but that was it

Brooke is fine, but I haven't talked to Tim or Mike yet. It wasn't the limo I got sick in I'm sure - it was the last day of Internext that really messed me up - and I left one day early!

oh wait now I remember. - it was the STRIPPERS at Glitter Gulch! ( Good thing all I caught was a cold.... gleahh!)

Always got sick after Vegas in January.

I was sick before I went.

When I came home my wife had it, and it knocked her off her feet. A day later I had it again, and it fucked up my entire weekend. I'm still feeling it now. But I'm not sure if I got it in Vegas or from my wife.

That's because of the all of the drugs you did in the 1960s.

Probably did not hurt that I swam in the Santa Monica Bay too. What doesn't kill you . . . . and we did not have .10 the protection forced on people these days. :1orglaugh
