Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter's vocal performance, no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded."

If I didn't get a chance to rehearse with the band I certainly wouldn't sing live in front of the world.

Uhmmm...she is supposed to be a professional. And for God's sake, it's The Star Spangled Banner, a song we all sing since kindergarten.

It wasn't like the U.S. Marine Band didn't know the song and needed to rehearse it with her. Or that it's some new song that she is unfamiliar with.

Fact is...the woman is like so many other "singers" these days. She can't sing. It's all studio.

Now Kelly Clarkson freakin' SMOKED on her song. I'm not a fan of her little bubblegum pop music either...but that bitch can sing.

Beyonce? I think she's in that Britney Spears category of girls with an image, a little vocal abitliy (very little) and a damn good producer in the studio.

It's an embarrassment to have someone "sing" the national anthem at such a big event and just lip synch it. :(

(You of all people should know that EVERYBODY practices with their band if it's not their regular one... everyone, for everything... probably not people that play gigs for 200 people max, but anyone with that much riding on the line risks nothing)
