They don't do drops because it is so rare - So I have to use a cream and RUB IT ON MY EYEBALL.

Its all to do with nerve damage I got when I had Chicken Pox/Shingles a few years back. It made it easier for me to pick up this other form of Herpes that has done this.

They have put me on Dihydrocodeine and Grolsch so I am going to be even stranger than usual for a week or 2....

That's not the same - That's normal herpes on a different nerve.

The only good thing I can say is that this is invisible - That pic is not pretty :Oh crap....

Its a strange thing - It can live in nerves and just present when your immune system is low, because of a cold or stress etc.

It only started to happen after the Chicken Pox because of the nerve damage that did - I could have picked up the infection any time since birth.

Also because it is in the liquid in my eye it is not infectious - Well, unless you poke my eye out and then you deserve it :)...

Last time it was about 2 weeks - The problem is it will be back every time I get run down.

How long has this been happening for you? I've heard the virus gets weaker and weaker over the years so eventually you may not break out at all or break out very rarely.

I would not have been infected via my eyes - Well almost certainly not.

The infection is there now because of the way it travels around certain nerve groups.

I have not had lesions elsewhere so it did not spread to my eye from myself - It is possible it went straight to my eye as I have hay fever and I do rub my eyes when I have that.
