I have eye Herpes again.
Yep, you saw that right - Its the most painful thing ever - Its on my eyeball.
Most people get them on their lips or their junk - How the fuck do you end up getting it on your eyeball? - That was a rhetorical question BTW.... They don't do drops because it is so rare - So I have to use a cream and RUB IT ON MY EYEBALL. Its all to do with nerve damage I got when I had Chicken Pox/Shingles a few years back. It made it easier for me to pick up this other form of Herpes that has done this. They have put me on Dihydrocodeine and Grolsch so I am going to be even stranger than usual for a week or 2.... |

ouch... how do you get such a thing on your eyeball? virus is spread through skin on skin contact I thought.

This is on the actual eyeball. The only good thing I can say is that this is invisible - That pic is not pretty :Oh crap.... |

It only started to happen after the Chicken Pox because of the nerve damage that did - I could have picked up the infection any time since birth. Also because it is in the liquid in my eye it is not infectious - Well, unless you poke my eye out and then you deserve it :)... |
I hope it doesn't hurt …..
|
|
No eyeball licking for you!
|
Doesn't sound very fun. I hope that cream kills it off for ya.

How long has this been happening for you? I've heard the virus gets weaker and weaker over the years so eventually you may not break out at all or break out very rarely.
Either way, hope you get better quickly! I can't even begin to imagine how badly it must suck. |
This will haunt my nightmares forever.
|
Sorry to hear that. Sounds painful. You should keep an eye on that.

My kitty has feline eye herpes, born with it, picked it up in mom's birth canal. I give her Lysine when it flares up.
Nutritional Supplemental Info for Ocular Herpes to check out for humans (includes Lysine) Supplement with organic style vitamins and minerals including the following: lysine (an amino acid that can help to control herpes), vitamin C, selenium, lithium (slows down formation of the viral capsid), zinc (boosts the infection-fighting capability of immune system), and vitamin A. -- from link below http://www.naturaleyecare.com/eye-co...ocular-herpes/ http://onlinegirlfriend.net/wp-conte...s2-150x150.jpg Esmé as a kitten - she was completely blind, but can see pretty well now, I can tell her adult feline ocular herpes flare-ups reflected as very slight cloudiness in her eyes :Oh crap |

so the real questions are..... 1: was your eye really that itchy? 2: Why didn't you wash your hands? |
Quote:
I would not have been infected via my eyes - Well almost certainly not. The infection is there now because of the way it travels around certain nerve groups. |

"While both Type I and Type II herpes can spread to the eye and cause infection, Type I is by far the most frequent cause of eye infections. Infection can be transferred to the eye by touching an active lesion (a cold sore or blister) and then your eye." |

Its just as likely it was from someplace else though. |

Herpetic simplex keratitis - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herpes_of_the_eye - This is closer to it, but not exactly the same. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...eal_ulcer.jpeg |
You must of got a vaginal discharge on your face... or a semen discharge from a cock.
I knew a girl from my high school and met her in a hair salon she was working at, I noticed faint blisters on her face that were well covered with make up, I could tell that she was nervous about it. It hit me, she had taken a load all over her face some time and that load had herpes in it. Fucking awesome! :thumbsup |
