All seems very 'Dr No' it sucks that this type of advanced technology / design always happens outside the United States though...

I wonder how they keep the radicals at bay in Dubai. Seems out of all the places that would be easy for them to hit westerners in their own back yard, it would be there.
|
Why dont they worry about making proper sewer infrastructure instead of all this fancy stuff? Isnt this the place that has a convoy of shit-filled trucks lining the highways at certain times because they have no way of dealing with it? Also seen some celebrity say she was almost arrested there for hugging a man in public that she was not married to. Such a backwards place.

to get to the main hotel there you have to pass through like 5 layers of security |

As already said - Just a shame all the cool stuff is in Dubai. I don't fancy going there.
|
yep some real cool stuff in Dubai for sure
|
looks cool would love to visit it :)
|
The plans for that place have been on the go for many years. Dubai isn't even running at 50% occupancy at the moment so the last thing they need is more hotels.

Plus even if the city gets only 50% occupancy it does not mean this particular developer could not get 80% or more. They need to build fancy shit otherwise nobody would come their for vacations and they need tourist to replace oil when it ends. |
i prefer more fun places
|
One more place for the traveling whores to visit.

They also admitted when they were building the one hotel that they should have probably built salt water conversion plants instead. |
sweet stuff
|
I've already lived underwater once, you can have it, scenery never changes

People are abandoning their luxury cars because they can't pay the bill and going back to their original countries. Same thing will happen with the fancy buildings real soon..
