Hey Paul, did you and eva send out a mass mail to all registered members of your site?
"Breaking our contract terms It has come to our notice that some sites are using the girl's real name. This is a breaking of our contract and the model release terms. Any site found doing this will have their license revoked so the content must be removed. There will be no refunds." Was this a mass mail or directed at myself? If at me I really do not think I am breaking them as I randomly pick model first names and do not use last ones. And to think my 400th post wasted on this. Damn. |
I got it, too. :)

Yep, I got it too and was told that it was sent to all their customers. They said whoever was doing it has been "dealt with". I guess a lot of people don't read their licenses. I was freaked out at first though, I don't think it should have been sent to everyone.

Paul M could polish a bit on his customer service tactics:Graucho

Yeah i got one too and thought it was directed to me.
I mean the way the topic is and they way he just comes out and lashes about breaking rules in the body without respecting his loyal customers by saying a nice "Hello webmasters" . Kind of upsetting. :( |
I love Markham's content, yet this email at first scared me then I got pissed off as I find out it was a massmailing, now I am just mildly fuming. I figure by evening time I will be over it. I just do not want it lingering in the back of my head next time I buy content.
I get up today, already a little irratable from poor sleep, open my email and looking down the list of topics I see "Breaking our contract terms!" Which causes me to spit coffee all over my keyboard (literally, I had to plug in a different one). I have way to many sites, tons of content floating about, well a whole manner of things. From reading that mail it appeared it was directed soley at me. The wording should have been proof read and handled in a much more delicate way. It is very akin to an email I got from a sponsor once. Topic said "Account under invesitigation for cheating", Same basic thing, seemed like it was directed at me, yet apparently was just a ill written mass mail directed at 2 or 3 cheaters. Please people, use your webmaster email lists with more care. Proof read your stuff and try to look at them and see how they come across. |
