Strange Package From UPS ( GEEKTECH INC)
 

i received a package shipped by ups from GEEKTECH.INC 155 5Th Ave . S SUITE 500 MINNEAPOLIS MN
55401

i dont know what is that and in description it said " CD PLAYER " and it asks me to pay 42$ to pick up the package from UPS.


what the hell is that ? i dont even know what is GEEKTECH.INC and i never won anything in my whole life.

if it's from mike(porncity/stiffycash) it's probally a present.

do you use his programs or his board? He does stuff like that all the time. He often flies out to meet people who use his program.

It is most likely a prize from our BBS or something maybe you cashed in BBS points for? The other option is if you use Stiffy Cash maybe an item that you used Stiffy reward points for? If you live in Canada the $42 is most likely some form of tax they put on it. You can email [email protected] if you are not sure and she can probably help you figure it out.

Sasha, I believe you won one a few months ago on the porncity bbs, possibly for having the longest post that week or something. They give away shit like that all the time, I was one of the first to win a dvd player there a few years back.

It depends on the CD player. Also, I think we are talking Canadian dollars. I doubt you can buy a decent CD player for $25 CAD.

I would think that $40 would be the duty/tax on it - meaning it's worth several hundred dollars.

As I said. Email Jessica as she keeps records on what is sent out as prizes etc and with a little info from you she can tell you what it is and why you won / or cashed in pts for it or what not. Keep in mind the weekend is coming up and if they are going to only hold the item for so long then you will need to email her soon.

That's right. The service fee from Canada post on my DVD player was something like $63 Cdn. I went and priced out the unit at local stores and at the time it was over $500 bucks.

Consider yourself lucky, the duty on things is so much cheaper than those goddamn UPS brokerage fees (Which are on top of duty). Like $50 on the hun PLUS duty..

Just before Christmas, PC was giving away digital cameras for most threads. However, those cameras became hard to get... back orders and stuff.

So the change was made to give away mp3 players. I received one of these also, quite a while later, as PC was hoping for the cameras, but they never came through.

As it turned out, it ended up costing me $40 as well, for customs to check it and everything.

Borders suck ass.
