Alternative to CCBill .htaccess login?
 

I've got a small site with ccbill as my only payment processor and I'm using .htaccess for the logins. Problem with .htaccess is it's not supported on Android devices and users can not download files. Explaining that will sidetrack me so what I need to know is what alternatives I have to maintain my user accounts and passwords while still using ccbill. Of course I contacted ccbill first and was told they only supported using .htaccess. Not sure how that can be accurate if they want to stay competitive? I know the answer lies with mysql but I'm at a loss of finding what I need. I'd appreciate any ideas or third party recommendations. Btw, I don't have a CMS and I use proxypass.

Use mod_auth_mysql then you can use htaccess with devices that suport it and redirect those to another directory that dont . Use a normal username login script on that directory obtaining the auth from a database lookup. CCBill has those scripts too

you need php login script which uses mysql.

and contact ccbill and ask them to provide you prebuilt script using mysql for authentication.

and then go from there.
