Brilliantly acted original storyline

If you liked Snatch, True Romance, Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels etc...
This is the first good movie of that genre in a long time.

Yeah I was really interested in seeing it but was unsure since I have had some bad luck with recent movies.

I started watching it last night :) and I feel a sleep after 5 minutes. But I will give it another try today.
Btw, best movie I've seen in a while is Argo. If you haven't seen it, you should definitely give it a shot. :thumbsup

I guess the movie atleast did not suck

I went to the movies last night and saw the impossible.
Damn.. That ended up with a full movie theater trying to keep the tears back.

Great movie and something to think about. How it must have been for those who was there. And the families of those who never made it home.

True Romance is my favorite so you got me thanks for the tip.

Haven't seen Argo, will be sure to check it out.
The last movie I liked as much as Seven Psychopaths was District 9

Damn, Seven Psychopaths must be good if you're making this comparison. District 9 was amazing! I'll have to check this Seven Psychopaths movie out.

Definitely the best storyline I've seen in a movie in quite some time.

Two completely different movies. They are totally different stories and genres, but that's the last movie I watched and when it was over I said... wow, that may be in my all time top 10 films.

Seven Pyschopaths is written and directed by the same guy who did In Bruges (which was also a good film). It stars Christopher Walken and a terrific cast with more of a pulp fiction feel to it. I really didn't expect much, figured it would be 'just another shoot'em up movie' but it really does a nice job of countering all of those cliches.

I completely get what you're saying. I'm a huge Christopher Walken fan so I'm kind of shocked I haven't seen this already. It just made my "must watch immediately" list.

Agree, good to watch 1 time... but not to watch again 100 times as a Pulp Fuction.

I'm not someone who sits and watches any movie over and over and over again. If I see a great movie on that I haven't seen in years I might watch it... but that's about it. I value memorable stories and moments more. To each their own ;)

True Romance is about the best movie ever, so maybe I will take a look at this one.

I almost rented it last night from Redbox. But the reviews on Redbox's own site made me stop.

It didn't even get one good review! :(

And I really wanted to see it based on the cast and the trailers I saw.

People still watch movies in theaters?

It's in the same genre as True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Go, Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels etc... First part of the movie is what people expect, second part of the movie is slower and more self-aware, like a Robert Altman film. My guess is that most people will really like the first 2/3 of the movie... I very much liked the whole thing.

I give it 5/10 stars

nothing special for me, some good acts, and few twists, else is slow and somehow not interesting.

Was just thinking the same thing. Will have to check it out.

I'm a big fan of martin mcdonagh .. In Bruges was a favorite.. But I was a bit let down with 7 psychopaths.

Its more targeted to the mainstream, it was a good but not great movie.

I'm about to watch it in 5 minutes. Love Sam Rockwell.

To me it seemed very much to be making fun of the mainstream, breaking cliches and poking fun at a lot of the formulaic writing other movies settle on.

I went ahead and rented it tonight.

I really enjoyed it.

I had thought I was going to like it when I first saw the cast.

Damn near anything with Woody Harrelson and Christopher Walken is gonna tickle my funny bone.

Stupid reviews ran me off from it.

Though I did rent "Flight" the other night when I was originally gonna rent "7 Psychopaths"

So I ended up watching 2 good movies. :)

I liked Argo, too. I always dig movies based on real events. Argo was very well made.

A little all over the place, but I liked it.

Watched Flight also, which was one of the best movies about addiction I've ever seen.

Perks of Being a Wallflower ain't too bad either.

I loved snatch and lock stock, but did not like 7 pschycos at all.. watchable, but nothing more.

I honestly dont think its the best, but yes it is a very good movie! Shutter island is amazing, shaw shank redemption, the green mile.

Saw argo. It was a pretty good movie but not really anything all that specials rom my POV. A house full of people with no plan B just wasn't all that suspenseful. If they had some kind of choice it would have been a more interesting story. Knowing te history well enough to know the outcome in advance also probably didn't help...

Completely agree with you here. It was a suspense movie with a complete lack of suspense. The things that win awards these days are crazy. Same thing with Silver Linings. Not the suspense part. But not that great of a movie touted as something amazing.
