I think this peter guy WILL win, but it's not the prophecy coming true. It's the church doing this on purpose (announcement on 11/2, peter the roman, etc) to make it LOOK like the prophecy is coming true to make them seem more "legit" in that their st. malochy or whatever was really a prophet and god exists and blah blah.

I was thinking the same about Pope's and that prophecy, they do it with purpose to show us the holy shit, but looks like 1000 years later their game comes to an end, what now? nothing, new shit will be prepared... lol
