this is going around but is unconfirmed (from my friend in BBL): "he broke into an occupied cabin, tied up a couple, one of the couple got untied and made emergency phone call ... Dorner had stolen their vehicle, was spotted by a fish & game warden in their white pickup, gunfire was exchanged, now clustering around where they feel they have Dorner ... possibly Dorner is injured, unsure ..."

My friend has scary news, the cabin where he is holed up is owned by friends of hers, newlyweds. She does not think they are home, they both have dayjobs. Their vehicles didn't appear to be at the cabin from the news feed.

I don't think he shot them. He just tied them up and they got loose and called the police. Then the police spotted him in the stolen car and he shot the police and may be in a cabin.

I think the reference is to the murders of Monica Quan and her fiance.
