Taken in full context for a more complete picture... :winkwink:
"Jackstraw" We can share the women, we can share the wine. We can share what we got of yours cause we done shared all of mine. Keep on rollin, just a mile to go; Keep on rollin my old buddy, you're movin much too slow. I just jumped the watchman, right outside the fence. Took his rings, four bucks in change, aint that heaven sent? Hurts my ears to listen, shannon, burns my eyes to see; Cut down a man in cold blood, shannon, might as well been me. We used to play for silver, now we play for life; And ones for sport and ones for blood at the point of a knife. And now the die is shaken, now the die must fall. There aint a winner in the game, he don't go home with all. Not with all. Leavin texas, fourth day of july, Sun so hot, the clouds so low, the eagles filled the sky. Catch the detroit lightnin out of sante fe, The great northern out of cheyenne, from sea to shining sea. Gotta go to tulsa, first train we can ride. Gotta settle one old score, one small point of pride. There aint a place a man can hide, shannon will keep him from the sun Aint a bed can give us rest now, you keep us on the run. Jack straw from wichita cut his buddy down, And dug for him a shallow grave and laid his body down. Half a mile from tucson, by the morning light, One man gone and another to go, my old buddy you're moving much too slow. We can share the women, we can share the wine. |

Just watch when the dollar loses it's status as global reserve currency... it's gonna go downhill quick after that... you can only print fiat money for so long before the system collapses... this has been happening for decades it's much deeper than your typical Democrat vs. Republican arguments...
|
We have a long way down... Buckle up.

We are booking flights and plan to do some scouting on a simple coast far from this failing country. This is an exit strategy, and I for one, will not be a part of this "free nation" bullshit anymore. This country is on borrowed time that will soon be up. Hurts to watch all this unfold, but I will be damned to go down with the ship. I would rather swim. Thanks Far-L, you nailed it. :winkwink: |
These are the best of times and the worst of times. This country will thrive, it always has and will maybe not for everyone. It will carry on. Takeaway all the pundits crying, there is too much money here. A 14k dow and 1.1 new millionaires have been created since Obama took office. They would have a very different opinion on the end of the world scenerio.

Hate to break it to you, but if or when the US ever fails, then the rest of the world is fucked as well. You aren't going to escape the problems by going else where.

We have created dependency on the US with just about every country in the world. China being one of the biggest. China has no economy if the US fails, because they depend on us to buy their shit. If the US stopped importing Chinese goods because our economy collapsed theirs would collapse right behind ours. We created a new atomic bomb by economic power, via the banking system that essentially means mutual assured destruction, if the US ever fails. Everyone else will as well. |
US has more arable land than any other country. That is a baseline. Even on subsistence farming it can sustain its current population. It has an extremely stable and friendly northern neighbor that can as well. Together they control estimated 500 bb oil (including frackables).
It is too big a country for socialists to control. Income and quality of life are already down substantially compared with the rest of the planet vs. 1990s. Probably a worst case is Argentina plus white flight, followed by excessive corruption and mismanagement. The rest depends on whether the next imperial power is China or new Europe. If China, shit will be bad for a while. If Europe, see Argentina. |
Obama makes a speech promoting education and science and the whackjobs want to leave the country. :1orglaugh

and there's no "IF" the US fails ..it's "when" what goes up must come down...we are a nation that is running out of money to buy junk. families are now looking at food and power instead of the next flat screen TV This is a process years, decades in the making |

Hey chicken little, compared to most of the world the US is a pretty damn good place to live. Yeah yeah the government has debt and is corrupt, people have guns, healthcare is expensive jails are full yadda yadda.... The average American has it pretty damn good regardless of what Michael Moore has to say.
Google how much economic and military assistance the US sends the rest of the world every year... hate on them as much as you want but they send billions a year to help other nations. The more things change the more they stay the same. |

No way the economy is "bouncing back", gas is on the rise (close to 5/gal in LA), no job security, increase is taxes...
A lot of people are taking the food stamps, medicare and doing their deals in cash. A big house? No one does that anymore...anyone see how people live in SEAsia? It will get to that point in America. Still a long way down. A good thing that could derive from this is that production costs are going WAY down. A lot of the girls are strapped for cash and will work for peanuts. I know strippers are STARVING! |
the petrodollar will become the petrorenminbi because the statue of liberty is kaput!
By about 2020, the United States will overtake Saudi Arabia as the world?s largest oil producer and put North America as a whole on track to become a net exporter of oil as soon as 2030, according to a report from the International Energy Agency. The change would dramatically alter the face of global oil markets, placing the U.S., which currently imports about 45 percent of the oil it uses and about 20 percent of its total energy needs, in a position of unexpected power. |
