How to check where a server physically is?
When i look up our server i see it is in Ontario Ca., however it is here in Amsterdam unless i am being lied to;-)
I need to see where another company is hosting and i get all mixed data. Is there a (good) way? Cheers. |

The ip is in scotsdale (godaddy), but it points to dutch ns records. Any plausible reason for that? |
1. Connect to the site
2. On the back of your computer you might see a thick telephone cable 3. Follow cable |

FWIW, secureserver.net appears to be a vanity domain for GoDaddy and/or GoDaddy hosting. Both secureserver.net and godaddy.com share the same contact details. |
|
Looks like i had the correct information from the getgo.

Yes I would use a visual traceroute. But this would be incorrect info if the website is behind a CDN and you use the website IP instead of server IP.
