godaddy? where do i start, just search gfy for people complaining, but my personal experience is them taking down my site for 3 days merely because i had a made up telephone number in my registration details... (everything else was correct)

However i have heard many a horror story about godaddy other than this. Yeah use them at your peril, the only reason i still have some domains with them is because, you know, they have been there for years and i am lazy.

BigChad 02-18-2013 03:53 PM

name crave

lonerunner 02-18-2013 05:46 PM

I wanna transfer few of my own domains to namecheap also. I heard that they are best. But since i never transfered domain i was wondering how this procedure goes. I have my domains on godaddy for few months before renewal. If i transfer them now on namecheap what do i pay and does transfer goes now or when they need to expire and when is my next payment. On expiration this year, or on expiration next year or on date when i transfered my domains?

adult-help 02-18-2013 06:53 PM

its easy to transfer domains from godaddy to name cheap cost is around $9-10 and 1 year free you can transfer anytime as long as the not in the 60 day waiting period.

GlamourIdols 02-21-2013 07:25 AM

All our domains are on godaddy - namecheap seem to be everyones fav here.

Kostly 02-21-2013 08:16 AM

Go Daddy has a serous security issue, they ONLY require the last four digits of a credit card and that information is found on just about any receipt. I wont use them because their security is so crap. Somehow my father (who has the same name) got access to my domain names. I was pissed!

wait to see hows working trying to add your own name servers. I`ve added two NS for one of my domain about 10 days ago, they are active in my account and still getting the message "Ping request could not find the host ns1.mydomain.com.Please check the name and try again". The online support and the morons from live chat are simple useless. When i had issues with namecheap in one hour got response via email or help from live chat. Not from godaddy crap. Planning to move ASAP all my domains from this second class company.

i recommend namesilo, cheap and they offer free privacy

Hover is a superb, I have used them since 1997!

i love namecheap as well... they're great.. and just as the name suggests.. cheap. Make sure you do a google on "namecheap coupons" before you register domains though because you can always pick up coupons that you can use to save a few bucks if you're buying a bunch or transferring some over

Zyzz 03-09-2013 04:40 AM

+1 namecheap

a couple of good ones as well:

www.internetbs.net
www.moniker.com

crunkedge 03-09-2013 07:42 PM

name.com my best by the way

livexxx 03-09-2013 08:24 PM

If you have 3 or 4k names, there are a lot better specialist alternatives out there IMHO

I haven't had a problem with godaddy I even find their customer support to be useful when they call to verify.

DigitalTheory 03-09-2013 10:49 PM

namecheap here

adultforum 03-10-2013 02:43 AM

Im moving all sites away from namecheap, $9.21 is not so cheap when you have more than 300 sites registered with them. I preffer lower prices to renew a .com Are there any domain providers who offer less than $8 to renew and transfer 300 domains?

demographics1 03-11-2013 01:21 PM

Moniker is a nice one. Never had a problem with Godaddy, though.

Mark.Roy 04-06-2013 11:55 PM

namecheap and internet dot bs are great.

zorag 04-07-2013 03:09 AM

GD is to big and clumsy, best is Moniker hands down!!

Andreweb 04-07-2013 03:45 AM

To me namecheap is no 1

notauniquename 04-08-2013 12:09 PM

I use internet.bs and name cheap mostly.

fastwebcash 04-08-2013 12:18 PM

:thumbsup for Namecheap. They give custom coupon codes for renew in bulk. Just need to ask.
