VPS Hosting
Is it difficult to manage? Not very techy but I can usually work things out from documentation.
Always had managed servers and virtual plans, but with the pricing looking enticing, thinking about it, its only to run some blogs. Nothing complicated. |
Use Linode.com, they have the best VPS'es around! And a good library where there are pre-made guides to manage your servers. The helpdesk also helps and reply's within 3mins!

Not difficult if you go with Hostgator. I thought the same as you when I first moved from shared, but the Hostgator techs on live support have always got things sorted for me (no ref code here)

I'm with Amerinoc who for years have been fine, just that damn 'cannot establish database connection' message I get for 1/2 hour every other day is starting to get annoying.
Thinking of using their vps as I've always been happy with support. But I will check out the other recommendations. |
+1 for hostgator

You could always buy a cheap plan off of lowendbox.com just to test out a vps and see if it's something you'll like.

You can only save some beer money. Get a managed VPS plan.
