i think all these cam experts just lie, someone prove to me that there is money to be made with cams.

If the traffic is looking for cams and not porn you really can do well if you partner with a good site who will not shave you. Dating is the same way. But it's tough to get all those things.

If you just put up some cam banners on your tube and send it to Slick Rick's $500 PPS Cam Brogram then forget it. By the time you make the minimum payment Slick Rick will disappear somewhere off in the Bahamas and will have posted a message about how "the affiliate model is no longer viable and there will be no more payments. Thanks for the retirement."

It can be difficult to make money with cam sites. It isn't impossible, but it can be tricky. Here's a few things that can help you:

- Cam sites are sticker than membership / photo sites, if the chat models are good at what they do. Chat models who are smart & charming and who can communicate make much more for their affiliates than models who are dull and boring.

- It can sometime take longer to convert a visitor into a paying customer because he has to find the right girl, on the right site, and be in the mood, have a credit card, and the girl has to be ready to satisfy his need. Of course the price has to be right and his credit card has to be accepted too.

It might seem like alot of criteria to get "just right", which maybe it is. For this reason though, you just have to super-target your traffic. Never send garbage traffic, or traffic from countries you know speak different languages.

Sites that feature Canadian, American, UK or Aussie models will do well with traffic from those countries.

Cam sites make a ton of money, and cam site owners and their affiliates can do extremely well if they work together and do things carefully.

you should always check if it converts and if you see you are not getting sales, change your cam partner. For example I used to convert webcams.com 200$ PPS like 1:1000. Then suddenly everything changed and had like 0:50k, Then tried different site and sales were not as good as it was there, but still better than 0.

A funny thing is that this line of thinking as it requires the base assumption that 1000's of cam models live on Streamate or Myfreecams et al, are just there working for free and hanging out.

There is an old truth in this industry.

That when a "working girl" in porn says she made XXX$ from escorting .. ...... The truth is she made about only half that.

When I started doing the research to "adapt or die" and began talking to all the internet experts. I quickly came to the understanding that webkiddies tend to be the modern unisex version of the working ladies. Only what they actually earn is about 15% of what they claim.

There are always exceptions but for the 95% of what you hear and with who you interact with, the fact is they are only earning enough money at best to pay for some pot, their Internet bill and perhaps a 6 pack of beers.

The only thing that has changed in this industry in the last 40 years is that it now discards directors, marketers, etc as fast as it throws away the girls. (perhaps faster) This industry sold big lies of stardom to the women and now it sells big lies of billions of dollars to everyone else it can find.

Why why why did you have to post this?!? Do you know how many people's day you just ruined? You know what, just to cope with this I am going to imagine that this is an aggregate report from 1990 - 2012.

But what you posted works well as proof of income for renting an appartement but not for me. I learned very quickly that in the digital age people can create anything they wish.


There are 3 things that make me believe that someone is probably poor.

1) When they start telling me how much money they can make for me.
2) They brag about how much money they already make
3) They go out of their way to prove to me they have money with their "proof of income".

So when somone talks like the above I ask to see
A) Their official tax return
B) A credit check
C) What did they drive to my house in and do they actually own it. (And if it is leased then I expect to see that in their tax return)

Anyone that is earning a large somme of money does not need to help ME make money. If they are contacting me for a legit reason, than it is a situation of how WE can make money together and they have a clear message of what they require from me.

Claudine Beccarie was my contact in to the industry and I saw that back in the the 1970s girls that did porn and operated a small discreet escorte business used to earn decent money. Their clients were very loyal and long term. Many girls even developed business contacts that helped them establish careers after porn.

But as the video cassettes caused a production boom and the market started to become saturated. Many of those former men who normally would be clients started to find ways to produce. The value of the porn performer started to drop, her private clients stopped being loyal, etc.
