Need help- Has anyone seen this type of scam?
 

Some guy in Costa Rica somehow has gotten our ex member mailing list & he sends them a mail with a very low price through some ratchet looking page hooked up to a pay pal account. He seems to be giving out passwords, too. We are on top of the fraud but we can't stop him from mailing. Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate any & all help.

Maybe send that ex-member list an email explaining that those emails are bs, maybe with an ad of your site in the footer, too.. :winkwink:

Yea tried. The funny thing is his mails penetrate deeper than our own mailers do.

What an asshole. Is there a way to contact his ISP (If you know that info, of course..) or his email provider if it's not self hosted or using a bunch of proxy farms or other bs like that?

I had this done to me. Worst part about it was the customers took up new offer and then requested charge backs to me.

That sucks. In my case I don't see how the could charge back to me as I didn't take the transaction, but I know a lot are disputing with Paypal though

If you haven't already, be sure to contact PayPal and have his account yanked. Repeatedly do it until he gives up.
