Is there a way to have two taskbars in windows7?
I'd like to have one at the bottom like normal people but I also usually keep the taskbar on the left side on autohide (which is extremely convenient once you have more than ten or so things open- because I can't stand having "group similar windows" or whatever it is)
Edit: I mean to say, is there a way to do it without third party software? |
More shit open than you with aboslutely no need for another taskbar...

cant recall which window is where. |
MrMaxwell, I'm going off memory here as I went to Windows 8 precisely for the native ability of having unique task bars independent on each monitor, in a multi-monitor setup.
I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but if all you are wanting to do is ungroup windows, I think you simply need to Right-click on the Taskbar, go to Properties and click on Customize. Again, I might be mistaken, but also look under Personalize (Desktop section) and I am pretty sure there is an option for "Windows Classic". I'm not sure abut having two taskbars on the same monitor though (was not sure if you were asking that) |
DisplayFushion will help you out with this I believe

You can turn off the group similar function.
I use ultramon to give me a taskbar on second monitor. |
