i posted a bitcoin thread a month or so ago, was thinking of investing - they were 19 dollars that day.

today - High:$31.69900

i'm a dumbass.

I bought a bunch when they were $11 although I sold a lot of them when they were hovering around $25

Had a few hundred.. sold them over the summer to buy stuff. Got about 15 now.. buying a few a day. I'm very long term on bitcoins. Real way to make them grow is to invest in a company on the bitcoin stock markets. I invested in a mining company and will have some pretty awesome returns.

Not gambling doesn't make you a dumbass.

Bitcoins are a good gamble. Even some forward thinking adult sites are starting to catch on. :thumbsup

Whats bitcoin mining? I though there is a fixed number of coins and not a single more.

no, bitcoins are "made", they are very unique large numbers calculated by a very processor intensive algorithim, so there is a finite number available at any given moment, but that number slowly increases.

Bitcoins are starting to become popular for buying things like prescription drugs from india, so there value is increasing as more people find a use for them.

Might they crash again? Sure.

As crazy as it sounds, I'm serious. yes there are companies that raise hundreds of thousands of dollars on bitcoin stock markets. For example you can buy shares of Satoshi Dice the most popular bitcoin gambling game. They pay you dividends weekly from the earnings.

I invested in a company that manufactures bitcoin mining machines. They just started "mining" with them and I will be getting hefty dividends.

you mean like avalon? Or some group assembling mining hardware?

ASIC miner. I bought a few hundred shares last summer cause the guy seems to always be doing something cool. Avalon was first to the market but he just completed his miners like 2 weeks ago and is putting them all online and will have about 30% of the hashing power in the network till the competitors catch up. Thats like 20 grand a day profit. (or something ridiculous like that)

I was like - "hmmm" - when the offshore prescription companies started to accept them, and even offer special preferential deals for bitcoin spenders.
