The Iphone is dead. Long live the android.
I was watching this week the latest show were they demonstrate the latest phones and gadgets.
The latest trends is to link your phone to your home or car and being able to activate systems remotely. Most appear to just use the android phone or tablet. I suspect people will concentrate on making android apps and far less on Iphone. Unless Apple allow non apple phones and tablets to be able to use its platform them people will just opt for the android platform. As for the windows version (that to me looks rather ugly) I suspect it will go the same way as the mp3 player they had, unless they can link it better with there XBox. But with so many devises now using android, why would you not buy an android based machine? Having used a few I have noticed photographs seem much nicer on these devises. |
Long live android

ive been saying this for years...only phony wannabe hipster losers buy apples technologically obsolete products

the writing has been on the wall for a while now :2 cents:

I don't know...95% of people I see or know are using an iPhone.
I'm an Android person myself, but it looks like an iPhone world to me. |
The main reason why I don't buy an Andoid is because much of the software is .. well... not that good. The iphones work very well, are fast and responsive, and the amount of apps for them are endless. My computer, iPhone, router, TV and home threatre all communicate with each other. Furthermore our home scale communicates with our iphones and macs letting us track our weight & BMI. I can watch TV and then go to bed with my iPad and continue watching TV from where I left off. My iPhone will start my car and tell my how much gas their is left, time to the next oil change, tire pressure, etc. My next purchase : Networked, colored LED lighting for my home, iPhone controlled. No way are iphones dead.

so you compare a phone (iPhone) to an OS (Android)?
iPhone will never been dead, a lot more 3rd Party support, quality paid apps, user and brand loyalty. By the way Apple started the "trend" of linking your phone to your car, tv, and entertainment devices. There more cars with built in iPod or iPhone holders/docks, connectors, radios than Android. I think you have your views on things a little twisted. The Android OS has no 1 phone that they can say is the best, it's all over the place. |

Apple need to allow other non apple machines to use its platform. At the moment Android has lots of machines competing. This has meant the cost of the products are low and forcing them to make better machines all the time. A few years ago everyone seemed to have an iphone. Yet I have been chatting to a few female friends (aged around 19) and they all now have Galaxy phones. I suspect the Iphone may be seen as not cool soon. That said, it could be the Iphone becomes like the Mac and becomes an expensive business machine as used by designers and such like. |
saw some ads for the IPOD on our mass transit trains here
wish someone already told that company everyone here already HAS an ipod lol |

Apple's got a very loyal customer base, and a looot of money in the bank (I recently read that some of their shareholders are actually trying to sue them to get some of it distributed as dividends)... Don't count iPhone down just yet.

iOS is great but their doors are just profit and too much closed for spreed, so ANDROID will be 1st place!

New Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Phone To Launch March 14 in New York City
:thumbsup |
There is a whole host of new OS's in the works everyone from Firefox, BEOS and even Samsung is building one that could potentially replace Android on their own phones. Not to mention windows..
Meaning each new king will eventually fall. |
I am not an Apple fan, but let's face reality. Apple created the smart phone and created the app. For a while the iPhone was the leader in cell phones - and MP3 players. Now all smart phones are created equal.
Apple has killed the MP3 player. What do I need an MP3 player - I use my Android phone now. Apple has even fallen behind now too... I can get in my car with my Android and play music from phone. But not with an iPhone. |

Does apple OS has the best phone? Yes, but only because they have ONE phone, so not that hard to have best out of one. |

Oh yes, you need it because you are craple sheep and buy things you do not actually need, just because crapple marketing says you have to buy. |

The stereo in my Raptor interfaces with my iPhone perfectly, I can even use Siri with it. I just push the button on the steering wheel and tell the bitch what I want... although it isnt really necessary since the stereo and nav system is all voice activated anyway, plus I have my whole music collection saved to the stereo's hard drive but I can still stream it from my iPhone if I want.
And this is interesting... Quote:

Let me call people sheep while I show sheep characteristics towards another device. :upsidedow Android is clearly the most used mobile operating system, but that's because they're on a crap ton of devices, iOS is only on Apple devices.. If you show market share of DEVICES themselves, not the operating system they're using, iPhone wins hands down. I personally prefer the iPhone, but Samsung is doing some great shit with Android in the mobile market, and Apple knows this. |
i would vote for linux os phone.

Seriously wtf? Buy what you like and fuck everybody else. |
Former Android sack rider... actually got into it with "dumb Apple sack riders" at a couple shows.. ha
Love my iPhone 5 way more than any Android I ever had. It just works. I don't have to mess with it, toy with it, fix it, whatever.. it just works, and works very well. I recently had to setup my girlfriend's new Samsung Note 2 for "optimal" use for her.. took 3 hours. When I got my iPhone 5, I just downloaded my iCloud backup and was ready to rock. It does everything I need it to do and does it very efficiently. |

Mercedes has an iPhone integration option. iPad coming soon as demo'd with the A class. Currently iPhone apps. Chevrolet is adding a SIRI button and integration across their product line. There's more. I. Just too lazy to find it for you. Stop talking out of your ass. You obviously don't know shit. :2 cents::thumbsup |

Sent from my iPhone 5, synced on my iPad 3, MacBook Pro: Retina, and iMac. |
I you search back, I was one if not the first to say this about Android years ago.
That said, I am now rocking a jailbroken iPhone 5 and will probably always carry an iPhone as a primary from this point out. It's hassle free, where as my Android phone always had some sort of issue...but the ability to fix and hack it myself was nice. Jailbreaking my iPhone brought a bit of that back. I'm gonna pick up the Galaxy S4 when they release it in a few weeks. |

So if all the sheep takes 1 that could be an argument to settle for the second best. |
I never bought a iPhone nor never will....
Long live Android!! |

iPhone used to be the best phone and have the best OS. Their phones are still great, especially design wise, but they are falling behind on Android in terms of the OS. Apple used to innovate, now it's just small updates, nothing spectacular, while Android on the other hand just gets better and better.
Most of my friends have iPhones and they all say Android suck. The thing is that most of them only tried Android like 2 years ago, when it indeed did suck. Then I show them how much Android has approved and the things you can do with it, and what they can't do with their iPhones etc. and they are all pretty surprised and many actually want to give Android another try, because they can see that it is actually better now. I have nothing against Apple, they make great hardware and I love my MacBook, so I'm not one of those guys that is against Apple or something, but right now Android is far superior to iOS, especially stock Android, like on the new Nexus 4. Especially for those who are mainly working with Google products like gmail, google docs, drive etc. Of course it depends on what you user your phone for. iPhone has great apps, great games, etc, but there are so many small things that iOS lacks or can't do which you don't realize until you actually use Android. |
Have you all used Blue Stacks to use Android on your PC?
|
LG Optimus G Hell yeah!
|
I have bought different second hand phones over the internet what I have encountered that most of the people selling their iPhone. :D
|
The only people that are bitching about Apples in this thread are poor. Androids are the food stamps of the cell phone world. :2 cents:
|
iPhones are a niche product right now.
