What is the best ftp program for MAC
sftp is built right into the command line ;)
I use Transmit: http://panic.com/transmit/
transmit for general day to day stuff (small uploads/edits), or yummy ftp if uploading/downloading in bulk (its a bit better than transmit for that)
Thanks I need to upload huge folders in bulk I'll try yummy

Cute FTP for Mac.
Transmit and sometimes Coda.
I mount the servers right onto my system using Transmit and just drag and drop, all actions are done over SFTP.
Thanks everyone.
Gotta love Cyberduck. Quack!
FileZilla if you do not like the built in one.

dreamweaver

This is the one a friend of mine uses... and swears by it. It's not free, however. It's a paid product exclusively for MAC, and it's relatively inexpensive at a mere $20 USD

I'm still using transmit version 3 on my Mac machines. Mostly these days I'm transferring from one server to another on the command line though.
I use Fetch on OS X when not using the command line.
The duck crashes Russian internet : ) I crashed the router in the Hotel uploading giant files. I was scolded by the IT guy that the internet was for light web surfing : ) filezilla works better here.
If you are after pure speed Interarchy is the best choice. Although it hasn't been updated since 2010 so I doubt it's being actively developed anymore so something else may have taken over.
+1 for CyberDuck :thumbsup
or Filezilla if you want a 'commander' style FTP client. |
Transmit and command line.
