Just curious if anyone has tried this service out yet? If so, how is it? |

too busy working and jacking off to watch movies all day

They probably have most of the stuff on Netflix. Amazon Prime Instant has quite a bit, but still nothing when compared to Netflix. They do however, have a large overlapping library.

So the question remains... HAS ANYONE USED REDBOX INSTANT????? |

According to this article only about 10% of their movies will be available for streaming and some of those may only be available on a limited basis.
|
I get Netflix through Wii so am waiting for Redbox Instant to be offered through there as well. Otherwise I'd need to get a Roku or whatever to get it.
|
I am loyal to netflix.
|
Was loyal to Netflix until I tried Amazon Instant Video... They have almost everything worth watching that Netflix has, and I can buy movies and watch them instantly too.. So newer stuff I don't have to wait for, as soon as it's available I can purchase it on Amazon Instant for like $15 max... Good deal.

Just found this in an article:
The best way to describe Redbox Instant's selection is as a cross between the bargain DVD bin at a Blockbuster Video circa 2000 and the daytime programming on HBO and Cinemax during the mid 1990s. That means lots of hits from the 1980s and 1990s ? including comedies such as Roxanne and Back to School ? interspersed with forgettable flicks such as Swordfish, Idle Hands and Romeo Must Die. There are some gems in the collection ? Lars and the Real Girl, Winter's Bone and The Conspirator, but those are few and far between. Instead, much of the catalogue consists of straight-to-video films, B-movies, documentaries of musicians and some truly terrible films (She Devil, the aforementioned Stuart Saves His Family, Catwoman). |

I have it, those videos are generally old as hell or reallllllyyyy low budget. Admittedly, we mostly use it for quick book delivery. But the videos was a bonus. Quote:

I don't know about where you're looking but I have access to a lot of newer videos to watch, and have movies such as The Dark Knight Rises, Savages, Seven Psychopaths, Men in Black III, and Wreck It Ralph... Those aren't very old movies... :2 cents: |
Sounds good, but the question is..."unlimited streaming" of what, exactly? Is it unlimited streaming of a certain selection of crap B movies that Redbox gets every week, or is it streaming of everything?
I dumped Netflix because they never had anything streaming I wanted to watch. I have Amazon Prime, which is good for watching old TV shows...and VUDU is my main streaming movie source. |

Maybe you have heard of something called um NETFLIX? |
Netflix here as well, but I use Redbox vending machines all the time. If the Redbox Instant gets good movies quicker than Netflix I may sign up.
