Amazon price fluctuations, up to $7-8 on small items in the same day from same IP.
Are amazon stores letting sellers or companies test their prices? I know they were experimenting with charging more in neighborhoods with more affluent people and this has been going on, nothing new.
I just got an iPhone 5 and am looking at cases. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...2787216&sr=8-3 The punked version was $21.95 when I looked at it 1 hour ago, now it's $28.95. I really wish I had a screenshot to back it up. Weird... |

I read an article a year or two ago about bots changing pricing to compete with other sellers, and sometimes getting it horribly wrong. I think it was more about the Amazon marketplace, but I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon themselves were into autonomously adjusting pricing to maximise profit.
BTW showing as $33.11 for me too. |

usually go up and down about four times a day swinging between the same upper and lower price. it's why if you display prices on your sites taken from the API you have to put a timestamp too.
