Hey guys,

We run a website over at fapples dot com - it's a pretty simple gallery based site (design tips and bug reports welcome.) But perhaps a more interesting part of our business model is the aggregation service that we built behind fapples.com to provide content.

First off, let me introduce myself, my name is David and I'm an Australian developer working on a VERY large scale content distribution network, and spend a lot of my time writing python code. My team and I have written an expandable aggregation service which has customization written all over it. As a brief overview of the flow of how it works:

1. Visit popular adult content sites through api's & even plain HTML - finding content as it goes, this content is then pulled and organised on the host computer.

2. Based on a predefined template, put these images (soon to be movies as well) into a HTML ready format for posting on a blogging service.

3. Check against the database of the blogging service for possible duplication of content across any posts that are about to be made.

4. Send the new posts to the blogging service through RESTful API - Oauth protected.

5. Using an FTP mirroring client - upload any new content to a remote FTP server.

This program, once set up is set to fire every hour, and any new galleries that become popular on adult content websites are aggregated and pulled down.

We have recently expanded this to include the ability to add torrented files (of any size) into the directory structure and have them included in a run.

This sort of stuff might interest some people, perhaps not for others. We're very interested from a business perspective the prospective marketability of a product (obviously better refined, or even run as a web service,) such as what we have begun to build here.

Your thoughts, comments and constructive criticisms are welcome.

Regards,

The Fapples Team.

Haha, thanks 2012! The website above is just a link to the end-product of our work, we're not currently selling our aggregation services (aside from the fact that it's not finished yet, we don't really know what tact to take with licencing etc.) There will be a new website going up in the near future which will be a more corporate affair, and focusses on the aggregation product itself, we more wanted to gauge public interest from a forum such as this.

Thanks for your support!

Thanks for the heads up Fendle :). I think we're probably going to be moving away from that layout in the near future to adopt a more minimalist feel - along with lightbox functionality.
