You'd be surprised at how isolated people can be. I've read about many examples of that. I know this is just a comical thing but you would not believe how absurd some of the propaganda is that some people in some parts of the world will believe. The United States is far from being immune to it, too... Some people here still believe that the conflict in the middle east will end.

The Americans featured in that video are probably living worse lives than the average North Korean. Once you are down on your luck in the US, it's very difficult to dig your way out. The US is the best country to be wealthy in, but it is also the worst developed nation to be poor in.

N Korea is so poor that their people have to eat grass and bark from trees to survive..
