How much should I pay someone to use $10,000 for seven days

I think it's worth a couple of hundred bucks.. but he wants $1000
I'm half tempted to do it, though, because having access to an interactive brokers account would be a very very good thing and I can't get one without 10k initial deposit .... but god damn, 1000 bucks?! There's no risk to him- the account would be opened and kept in HIS name and I wouldn't have access to it until he withdrew the 10k .....

I really want an IB account but wow a grand is steep :(

PornMD 03-11-2013 11:10 PM

I think you should pay them $10,000.

You're the one asking us.

L-Pink 03-11-2013 11:23 PM

Interest rate charged is a reflection of the loans risk, I'd charge you $100,000.

That doesn't make sense, either.
You can't charge me 100 grand I don't have to use 10 grand I don't have

Does this mean that I will have to buy a better video card, though :(

rowan 03-12-2013 02:26 AM

I've had 12BTC sitting there doing nothing for 18 months. Back then, they were worth about $4 each ($48). Today, they're worth $45 each, $540!!!

Good Lord
I thought they'd be worth about $0.0 by now
But- if out American Dollar can be traded for value for some god unknown reason, nonexistent coins make just as much sense :1orglaugh

Harmon 03-12-2013 02:56 AM

10% seems like a decent interest rate considering the risk as well as you tying up somebody else's money. If you want a cheaper rate go to a bank.

Fuck you and your stupid advice because you're a moron in the first place

As I have said, there is no risk involved

Plus, I was thinking about it awhile ago and fuck the dime for 7 days holding ten - hell- I wouldn't even be holding it, maybe if I was holding it 7 days then MAYBE I see 10% making sense but fuck nah fuck it

And you're stupid

And you're a drunk with obviously bad credit. Good game, faggot. Go beg for money on the streets where you belong, scumbag.

amateurWebmaster 03-12-2013 03:05 AM

1k is OK for this. I hear somewhere that if you pay with peanuts your workers will be monkeys, so... I hope you got it :)

And you're already taking after me by starting a sentence with and. And I VERY rarely drink anymore. And I have bad credit from my drinking days. And, we're not playing any game, AND I don't appreciate a mouth breathing internet board living moron calling me a faggot or a scumbag. It's rude.

The fact that he is lying on the application and that you can take the account to less then zero and he would have to pay. Then yep 1k is too little imo.

Do they still offer a paper trading account so you can get used to the system? Might be a good place to start until you feel comfortable stepping up. The market is not going anywhere.

kane 03-12-2013 04:20 AM

Just to make sure I am understanding this correctly.

You would deposit this money into the broker account that you would open. The once the account was open and active you could withdraw the money, but the account will stay open. Correct?

If so why not just go to a bank and take out a seven day loan? Put something you own up as collateral. For such a short loan period you could probably get a pretty good rate.

Harmon 03-12-2013 04:42 AM

He's too drunk and/or mentally challenged to figure this out for himself, and then on top of it he thinks somebody loaning him 10k should be done just because he says he's going to make millions. The guy is a twat plain and simple. Don't bother trying to explain anything to him. He's what they call dumb deep.

bronco67 03-12-2013 04:52 AM

He might want sexual favors.

BlackCrayon 03-12-2013 04:55 AM

there is huge risk involved, just look at you.

John-ACWM 03-12-2013 05:37 AM

I cant believe you actually gave a normal non-troll answer and he flipped out. Your answer seemed pretty straight forward to me.

He doesn't own anything obviously. I still think he should pay $10,000 for the privilege.

bigluv 03-12-2013 09:20 AM

Who was gonna pay the $1000? mom?

Sly 03-12-2013 09:25 AM

A $10,000 loan to an unknown for 10%? No way. I don't care how short term it is.

I would want minimum 25%.

Naughty 03-12-2013 09:26 AM

If the loaner is a friend, i'd say zero.

Unless that "friend" knows that you are a drunk as well collapsing on the floor loser clown that frequently hangs out on webmaster porn board forums discussing stock advice. In that case? :winkwink:

Dirty D 03-12-2013 09:40 AM

IB is awesome, I have several 7 digit accounts.
Frankly, if you don't have 10k to invest, you have no business opening an Interactive Brokers account.

They have very low margin rates for qualified investors.
1.3% APR = Awesome

They will loan $1 million on an account with $200k in it.
You see the commercials on CNBC every day.

Of course this means you can get a Margin Call for 800K if everything goes bad.
:(

It wasn't going to be a margined account- straight individual cash brokerage account

No if it was that way there'd be risk and the 1000 would be more than justified. He would open an account in his name, deposit 10k, withdrawl the 10k and then give control of the account to me.

I don't have the credit for a 10k loan :(

No one was ever going to "loan me 10k" .. I don't think I am going to make millions or even be good at trading in the first few months. I never said that and you get dumber every time you post words.

As I've explained 100 times- I don't get money from parents, whenever I hear from them they need money from me, you buffoon. They even spent all of my grandmothers money and now SHE needs shit from me.

I don't want to fuck with leverage :) Maybe in fx... maybe.. but not that crazy shit they do like 100:1, even there :)

I know IB is really good- that's why I want an account so badly.
