Getting into content production
Thinking about doing some of my own content production (for myself) but not sure where to start.
1. Where do you find the girls? 2. What's a reasonable amount to pay for a couple hours of shooting - just softcore stuff. 3. How do you find places to shoot? It's not like I can bring them to my house and I have no studio. Thanks. |
Modelmayhem, craigslist, referral from other models, agents. Softcore nude? If so $50-$75 per hour, maybe $100.
Rent a house for a shoot or get a nice hotel. |
Why do I feel like I would have an issue telling a girl to strip down for 75.00 lol. Do you do a minimum time? Like 75.00 per hour minimum 3 hours or something?
I tried craigslist - gosh, they're so skanky seeming. What if I set it up and a pimp shows up and steals my stuff? I'm probably being paranoid. Quote:

Camera, lenses and lighting gear might come in handy too!

Dont worry toots, I got that part covered. =)

It feels a lot better to be a nice person. You should try it.
If you have no advice to contribute - why don't you take your paranoid ass out of my thread and we'll all be happy, toots. Quote:

I've been asked this many times at seminars over the years and the common answers seem to be that each section of the country is different where girls demand more than others. While some offer 100 to 300 solo others go higher depending on region. Girls are not the problem at all as there are many ways to get them from online sites - other photographers to just going out and looking around. NOTE stay away from strippers LOL. but models are not to reliable so just don't depend on one or two.
Lighting and set design is extremely important for quality along with a good camera and knowing the models best pose. Keep in mind that for every 30 or so shots you'll be able to use just one picture... and please don't pretend to do a 3D shot like most photograhers who basically snap and run around her thinking quantity vs. quality is more important. Often I've seen 200 shots that are almost identical but merely the camera man taking many shots with a slight change in position. It's boring. What will kill the shoot is her attitude and "desire" which will come out. Finding a place to shoot I am surprised since there are many. You don't have to do a hotel or home - finding abandoned locations or even forests/waterfalls etc. is easy. I am sure you know friends who have ideas as well. Anything can be used for a price you need creativity here but if you must rent studio time. In short depends on how professional you want it or if you're merely trying to find a reason to find a girl and fuck her while getting it on film. If you're making money then pick the right girls with positive and who love sex not just someone who wants money. But mostly - lighting - proper camera - editing equipment/software and set design makes for great pictures/videos. |
Thank you Legacy. I appreciate this response. I have the camera, I have the lenses, I don't have the lighting because I do all natural light photography - but not adult in nature. Buying something however, is a simple solution. Do you have a suggestion for someone who only shoots natural light to start out with?
Fucking the model is definitely not on my menu. My husband might get jealous. There would be no other reason to do this other than making money. Quote:

Did I just say my husband might get jealous? BWAHAHAHA
What was I thinking. :error |

2. $100/hr or so, min $250 probably (i never pay less than $400); give a little extra and your will get referrals from your models. 3. why not shoot at your house? if not you can rent a room, try the suites type hotels which give you some options, or you can try craigslist, be surprised how many peeps will rent out their house for $200 for an afternoon. |
lets see how long you stick with doing softcore model mayhem girly pics. i think we all start out that way with our first low end SLR being the nice guy with the big camera and the nice hotel suite, then we stop caring and get burned multiple times and evolve into 3rd world whoremongers POVing chicks on our front lawn with reckless abandon

dude tell me ur a writer |
I can't shoot at my house because -well - I have three daughters? Most of my friends also have kids and so using their house wouldn't work either, just on principle. I have a few bachelor friends, but they live like bachelors.
I do have lots of acreage behind my house - but I know the hunters have freeking cameras in the woods too lol. When you weed through the girls say on sexyjobs - do you have them send you nude photos so you know if you want to continue? Quote:

Try being creative in the set design or location. If it's in a factory etc. or waterfall etc then dress the model or scene action to match it. Try to keep handy any makeup kits for problems and especially don't let the model get bored. They want you to tell them what to do - and finally - make sure the model is up for the scene. If they show up bored, drunk or tired etc. cancel it. Double check their body for marks/scars/cuts/bruises etc. to cover up. You'll never get good shots |

actually brantford has grown a lot and the boarded up places have been redeveloped with many new condo's and college/university buildings. It really has grown and alive with action. Loving it here and close enough to Toronto if I need more entertainment. Next time you're by - hit me up so we can head out for dinner or drink. peace |

This thread is a reality check. Everyone starts somewhere. I can buy content and I have for years. So, getting someone else to do the dirty work, I'm all about.
But - no one knows my client like I know my client and I feel like I could probably deliver the best product for my companies clientele. If only I could find the girls lol. Quote:

Nothing but problems. Wrong time, wrong place and you're about 10 years late.

Why do you say that?

is it really any money in content production anymore ? I would guess you need to do some small niche to be profitable
|
There is no money in porn .....:Oh crap :2 cents:
|
I'm not new to adult business people, I've owned and operated a successful company for 13 years. I'm not stupid, I know sex sells. I have a huge clientele. If you think there is no money in porn - I cant imagine why on earth you're on this message board. Maybe you should be on the warrior forum instead or a work at home mom forum.
All I really needed to know is how much to pay and where to find the girls and spots to do photos. |
I wouldn't be producing content for outside sources. It would be just for my own websites.
