I was hoping they'd get those fuckers. That's what you call an extreme display of narcissistic asshole bullshit.

One time in San Francisco I there was some kind of stupid bike protest so bikers - as in bicycles - shut down all of downtown by just driving around in large groups. I was at a standstill for two hours trapped in traffic in my car. I was pissed. I lost all respect for bikers since then. The roads are for cars, bikes are for sidewalks. Stay on the sidewalk.

Sounds like you were there during a Critical Mass bike event. They have one on the last Friday of each month. Locals know to plan accordingly. :winkwink:

Critical Mass started in San Francisco back in 1992 (this area has a reputation for direct action politics).

Sucks if you are late to work, etc., because of stuff like that.

Lots of different flavors around the Bay Area to be sure.

And better videos to showcase the area...

Check out this wicked drive through the City: :thumbsup

Fuck you!

The sidewalk is for walking; not riding bicycles!
It's against the law in every city!

I yield for bicycles with pride when I drive a car.

The street is for the people not just cars bro.

You drive the fastest thing in the streets and can therefore easily make up any time
you lost by yielding to a bicycle or pedestrian.

deliberately blocking the roadways with huge slow moving crowds of bicycles so that no one can drive for hours is your idea of SHARING THE ROAD?

I suggest you take some time to read the California DMV booklet a little closer the next time you have to study to renew your driver's license. What you have just stated violates CVCl http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/di...le=21200-21212

Unless a city has said it is legal to ride a bicycle on the sidewalks, it is illegal by default.

Bikers seem to think they are above the law.

Here where I live we have three networks of trails that are not connected, and obviously bikers hit the surface streets to use them all in one shot. They use the main road a block from my house do this, which is fine. However, they don't seem to see the need to stop at the four way stop. You have the chickens with their heads cut off trying to get to work and then bikers speeding down five or a six at a time.... Just comical to watch.

My favorite though is a block from the freeway, where cars turn off the main road, make a right into a secondary road, and then head off to the freeway. I understand the bike path goes straight and that the biker has the right of way, but common sense tells you that cars traveling 40mph trying turn into a merge lane passing through a bike lane is just asking for trouble. It always seems to be an issue on Friday mornings at 7:30am as I'm passing by taking my kid to school. Twice in the past year bikers have been hit - badly - which also resulted in a chain collision because cars behind them kept on going. Common sense tells me that rush hour traffic doing 40mph trying to merge around bikers is suicide.

Actually riding a bike on the sidewalk is illegal. I backed out my driveway one day and a guy on a bike came behind the hedge and I slowly backed into him. He called the cops, they showed up and HE got ticketed for riding a bike on the sidewalk. It's called a sideWALK for a reason.
