Manwin Called For STEALING On Fox Business

Check out the video:
http://video.foxbusiness.com/v/22287...=2226098883001

They discuss that Manwin's business model involves "piracy" and "stealing" and ponder what's going to happen to them and every company involved in the financing IF the govt. ever cracks down on copyright infringement for porn sites.

That pretty much is why Manwin and other pirates are doing so well and the rest of the porn industry has suffered. The govt. is LOVING watching what has happened. The govt. couldn't destroy the U.S. porn industry legally...but let a German fat boy do it for them. :(

They just reported the truth. And FINALLY somebody brought up the piracy and stealing aspect.

Thats good. I was talking about presentation with those 2 bimbos and their jokes. You do not see this kind of reporting on a serious channel. It almost looked like a news parody. Fox, as a channel, is even more of a joke than I expected :)

I think it was the fact that it's about porn so they were trying to keep it light.

I see that kind of joking around all the time on CNN and MSNBC too.

I wonder what the US (and other) investors think when they hear the name Manwin, along with the name of the company's recently imprisoned Managing Partner Fabian Thylmann*, on the National News during a business segment, in the same sentence along with piracy, steals stuff, extremely controversial, sells advertising with this, or statements to the effect, "if there is a crackdown on piracy, Manwin will have a problem" (and the companies that finance them), and "it's not the porn, it's the pirated aspect/stealing of it", and "Wall St is involved with it" (plus they started naming names). :uhoh

At last report, Fabian Thylmann was released on a multi-million dollar bond, and is under house arrest in Belgium.

I don't think the investors will care as long as it is making money. Those Wall Street firms are involved in alot worse stuff than piracy.

But it does create another possible lawsuit target if GS and these big investment firms are dumping cash into it.

Nope..that startup mystery money is still a mystery.

If you listen carefully to the report...this $167 million dollar loan is a new one within the last year.

Still no explanation how an unemployed programmer got his hands on the original 100 million dollar purported price.

That's a "poplular opinion" among some people. The actual Fox News Channel (not The Fox Business Channel) is the one you are derailing the thread about. And that channel that you are so sure there is a "popular opinion" is the most watched news channel by far in the U.S. ratings.

So the "popular opinion" you think is "popular" is actually a minority opinion according to Neilson ratings.

Now try to focus on the actual ramifications of the story for the PORN business and not on what your opinion of a channel that this was NOT on (FNC) is or isn't. :)

slapass 03-15-2013 08:46 PM

It hurts him. 167 million is not a lot to these guys and they will dump just so they don't have to explain to their buddies how they got into this. No one wants this type of press.

So in other words - Yeah!

Smart investors bail once they see the house of cards starting to come tumbling down.... :winkwink:

If you are a big investor, this is not exactly the kind of headline you like to read about the person at the top of the company that you have a huge investment in:

http://investigativ.welt.de/files/20...13-11-48-0.png

As you mentioned, the deep pockets aspect is another one. There have got to be at least a few attorney's salivating tonight at the prospect of getting some big settlements out of Manwin SARL Holdings (or whoever their target is).

They may have to hurry though if they want to get in before government investigations and criminal investigations/charges tie all the money up.

The Wall Street money may make government prosecutions more likely too, since if they were to get millions through fines/forfeitures, it could more than offset the cost of investigation and prosecution.

There are a shit load of possible angles. Even as an affiliate in theory I have a case for unfair competition against Manwin in that they have profited from illegally created conditions which have damaged my business.

Quote:

Unfair competition in a sense means that the competitors compete on unequal terms, because favorable or disadvantageous conditions are applied to some competitors but not to others; or that the actions of some competitors actively harm the position of others with respect to their ability to compete on equal and fair terms. It contrasts with fair competition, in which the same rules and conditions are applied to all participants, and the competitive action of some does not harm the ability of others to compete. Often, unfair competition means that the gains of some participants are conditional on the losses of others, when the gains are made in ways which are illegitimate or unjust.
In theory anyway. The reason why these guys aren't getting hit has a lot to do with them buying up the industry with their illegal gains. It's mainly big players who have the funds to go after them and there are few left. Of those many are working with them (just look at the kiss asses we see here). It generally takes a big player (or some major incident) to make some noise and stick with it to get the government's attention.

Also it doesn't help that AVN and XBIZ try to give them legitimacy and make it seem as if the entire industry is behind them. It's great to see this Fox story because it's showing that the adult industry news shills are losing their power to whitewash things.

Captain Kawaii 03-15-2013 11:09 PM

If Goldman Sachs makes a big push on selling the properties owned by Fabe's backers...it will be party time.

It was also reported today the economy is expected to kick in full throttle, for a little while anyway...All the mainstream companies whose bottom lines are contributed to by their porn stocks want people like Manwin and Fabes, gone. The Fox News thing makes sense. A chance to see who hates who on Wall Street in the coming weeks.

if anyone follows Marketplace on NPR then you know the GOV has slowly turned its sights on Wall Street.:1orglaugh:1orglaugh and its building.

All in all, good news. Thanks for the link, Robbie. I agree completely about the gov sitting back and letting Manwin destroy the business. Saves them money and effort.

Very interesting. Manwin has nothing to worry about though because the FTC will never crack down on porn piracy. When it comes to porn content on the internet, its a free for all. The law clearly states that you may use whatever content from whomever you wish and monetize it however you see fit, so long as it is "user submitted" and taken down promptly once a DMCA notice is received. I've seen tube sites that take down videos and literally re-upload them a few days later under different user accounts. It's a brilliant system because it all works so effortlessly with scripts.

I'm sure that Fabian/Manwin thought that there was nothing to worry about as German and Belgian police staged raids at Manwin's offices and Thylmann's home, hauling off computers and documents, and throwing Fabian behind bars for a few weeks back in December. :2 cents:

http://www.luxprivat.lu/var/plain_si...17_xxlarge.jpg

The Manwin-operated Playboy Radio probably thought they were immune too; well, at least up until last week when the station was suddenly cancelled and pulled off the air by Sirius/XM.

http://ebengregory.wpengine.netdna-c...ssica-stud.jpg

Nathan (Fabian Thylmann) has been pretty quiet since being let out of jail after reportedly having to post bail of over $10 million, surrender his passport, and other restrictions.

http://alladultnetwork.tv/main/wp-co...12/fabian2.jpg

Seems like Fabian is rightfully scared, because he has already experienced firsthand what the government has planned for him, and he clearly remains in the crosshairs of government authorities, plus the authorities now know way more about Manwin/Fabian Thylmann's operations than Fabian or others at Manwin probably ever thought they would.

It will be interesting to see where this all leads...

The guy is a genius!
Who else could manage to take Playboy Radio and publicly drive it straight into the ground all the while showcasing their famous STD star , Mr Marcus?
...and after being tossed off the air give a parting show of marketing prowess by editing the splash page to blame XM for not being able to handle something so hot.
Now thats the marketing genius Id want my investors to see.
I guess its tough out in the real world where you have to actually compete instead of steal for market domination.
And some of you wonder why Wall Street Journal is posting news that the self anointed prince of porn cant make his 14 million dollar payment to Playboy?
You have to ask yourself... if a guy cant successfully promote an amateur paysite ... what makes you think he would be successful in the multimedia arena ?
Congradulations to the winners!

I wonder if he had a lot of bass in his voice when he called with the intention of threatening Mike South last week?

Does that picture look like it shows a man that was sorry for faking his test results and shutting down production on the West coast for a bit?

Lets say some artist is popular amongst 5-10% of population. Its a minority, but that artist still could be called popular. I mean there are many popular artists. So there can be more than 1 popular opinion as well, its does not have to be majority opinion.

I always chuckle when people say stupid shit like this. It's proof people will say anything to dismiss opinions they disagree with.

MSNBC is by far the most opinionated news channel. Yet SOME people actually think its the best source. Despite the fact even liberal studies admit its the most biased and least diverse.

CNN is more news based, but has horrible anchors.

Fox has an equal amount of actual news, and opinionated news later with a wider range of political opinions. Hence the reason it does the best, and has the most diverse political viewership.

Its not even debatable. Its facts. Wise up.
