There are a lot of snowboarders. And I used to snowboard too but I'm getting too old (30) for that and just got a new pair of those amazing carving skis so....

Actually I was deployed to Aviano AB during Aug of 90...right before it got fun in the desert the first time ;)

During that time I was actually stationed in Germany, but was loving that trip down south. The beaches were amazing, and being a spoiled AF guy working with the flight crews I got to stay in a wicked nice hotel downtown & see some of the local community that was a bit further away from the 'base' area...



As it turns out, I lucked out and got a ride on one of the reconnaissance jets that I worked with. Was a blast & a half! After that I totally understood why the pilots were kinda addicted to flying, it was a rush from hell!!!

ooohhh the good old days...

I think it'll be a little more fun the next time I visit as a civilian though. While I was there last time I kept having to pretend I was working to keep Uncle Sugar happy LOL

...since the trip WAS on his dime....
