Yup, and great service. Just today I investigated a problem, found that something was wrong with the disks, pinpoited it to the SATA controller and put in an incident ticket. 15mins later they had replaced the controller with a new one and all was well.
Replacing hardware with such a rapid response time is great!

Btw for the US market, the servers are actually in SE Canada, but with great US connection.

They will be opening up a US DC this year.

Those are some pretty awesome prices, I would look at saving at least 800 USD/mo. by moving a couple of servers there.

I have a cheap ovh server with 2TB drives that I use for file backups. Cheap and has been reliable

yes you have to have how to manage it yourself

Just take a good a look at the range of servers they offer and what comes with those servers. I don't know of any cheap hosting provider that offer the quality bandwidth and server specs as OVH do, which is why they are growing at a phenominal pace. Leader in Europe and 2nd or 3rd in the world I believe :thumbsup

I heard they like to "hard sell" on message boards. No idea if it's true or not though. :thumbsup

Couple of years ago they limited my 100 mbps servers to 5 mbps.

On the phone they told me too much of my traffic was international traffic :1orglaugh yeah well this is the web.... wasn't chinese or indian traffic either mostly US and S-American.

I heard they don't do that anymore, still it was a shitty thing to do.

You were hosting in europe for mostly continental American traffic ? :error

In any case, now their bw is clear. Premium is premium. Their el cheapo kimsufi range isnt premium but great for voip/vpn/backup etc type things

I got a server from OVH and it has been great. I got it just to play around with vps hosting and messed it up many times. It has a control panel where you can wipe it and reload your OS like a vps. I had some days where I wiped it 3 times. Try that with another hosting company and see if they will reinstall the OS 3 times in a day for you. It is completely unmanaged. If you don't know how to admin a server this isn't the place for you.

Yup. I grabbed one of those and am not in Canada.

just did that 2 months ago and reduced the monthly costs drasticaly. The only inconvinient was i had to start learning basic linux.
PS: Not using OVH (not yet) i`ve chosed http://www.webtropia.de/ - the prices are close to ovh.
