What is the best video enhancement software that's not $10,000??
 

I really need to get this done before my trial comes up because the video is favorable evidence for me.. the best software for the job costs ten fucking grand for chrissakes .... does anyone know of anything that is pretty good and cheap?

The one they use on me is well known to set off on BREAD and is notorious for reading mouth alcohol. It also whacks out if your partition ration is not "average". It also whacks out of you have acid reflux. And for 1000 other reasons. I PASSED the field sobriety test and my driving was EXCELLENT. Dumbfuck. Do you have any idea of how these things supposedly work? The calibration procedure for this thing is RIDICULOUS and the one they used on me was one THOUSANDTH from being outside of spec. There are a number of reasons it could have gone off.

Anyone who knows me knows that I abhor the idea of driving drunk- I have put complete strangers in cabs before to keep THEM from driving and I've walked MILES back home when I got drunk in order to avoid it, myself.

Why buy the software and not just hire someone to do the work who already has the software.

Anyway, if you're going to lose points and / or your license and / or some other fine, it is worth the $500 to $1000 to get whoever to do whatever video work you need done if you think it will help you in your case. Losing your license can be very expensive.

Once time I was caught speeding (80 in a 40 zone) back when I was 20 or 21. I had already lost points and had I been nailed on this one I would have lost my license. So what I did was wait until the trial was about to start. I then went to the other side and offered to please guilty at 60 instead of 80, or bring up questions about when the radar detector had been tuned and if the cop was trained to use it, etc. It worked. I still lost points and still had to pay a fine but at least I kept my license.

We submit photographic evidence in provincial court on a constant basis - and often the judge asks "were these photos taken at the time of the infraction and have they been altered or manipulated in any way?"

Fine :

1] Get an expert witness to put the machines known shortcomings forward on your behalf.
2] Get him to ask to see the maintenance and calibration records of the machine before and since your offence.
3] Then, when and if they baulk; start negotiating a lesser charge.

That video doesn't help your case. Did you see how hard that guy had to try to get it to give a bad reading? I'm guessing that they took you to the station, ensuring that for at least the time you were accompanied you were not actively chewing on wonderbread, or imbibing alcohol or anything else just before you blew.

I'll grant you that those machines are attackable. But you're going to need something more than an unauthenticatable video from youtube since you can't testify or even know for sure if that video is genuine or not. Please tell me that its actually like a cop dash cam or something else you're talking about using?

I would start with getting an affidavit from the server and/or some other people that were there but not with you as to how much you had to drink. Some kind of receipt would be helpful too. I'm guessing you were paying cash that night instead of using mom's visa though right?

Where this happened they have to prove impairment and give a reason for accosting me with a forced test. I passed the FST and that is an important part of my defense. I'm told than an enhanced video will be allowed.

"Get expert witness" is a nice thought but they're not free... I've been talking to colleges in the area and dentists to see if I can find an expert witness but it ain't gonna be easy

It's too late man they fuck you out of the license right away before a trial or pretrial is even set. All 50 states won't give you a license if one state fucks you. Welcome to amerika

They won't- just like the manufacturer won't tell states how it works or give them the source code. The manufacturer has been sued by three states over that and a couple more over secret modifications and improper repair procedures
