Have seen a huge drop in mailings the last few days.

Mine are going out in about 5 minutes :) lol

While on the subject are there certain days that affiliates prefer to receive newsletters with updates on new promo material?

We send out each program on a different day.

Weekends are a bad idea. Mondays are good. From my experience as a paysite operator and affiliate. Earlier in the week the better. Because you have more chance they'll see them before the weekend.
