There has been a recent rash of posts with almost no capitalization. I want to know why. I suspect some new phones don't do auto capitalization and/or have a shitty shift button layout.

First of all, I am wondering if this is age dependent. It is possible that younger kids raised on text messaging did not learn proper capitalization rules. We do get young ones from PBBC/4chan here.

Second of all I suspect that there is a technology component. Someone mentioned that the iPad doesn't have auto-cap. With the move away from physical keyboards in phones, any phone that doesn't have auto cap is going to be a massive pain in the ass. Does iPhone have it?

Using an android tablet here and I just find reaching for the shift key too cumbersome when doing my 1-finger typing. I'll let the auto cap feature do its thing but if it doesn't catch it I let it slide. I used to be anal about that sort of thing before I started using tablets and smart phones. Now I don't give a shit about spelling and grammar, etc. which is kind of sad I suppose.
