Spanish for "Image": Imagen.xxx ... .NET just sold for over $15,000
Today DNJournal reported that Imagenes.net sold for over $15k:
dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm That's Spanish for "images". Once again, it's .NET -- not even a .COM. The ICM Registry owns Imagenes.xxx. But I own Imagen.xxx ("Image") There are 7.5 MILLION monthly Google searches for "imagen". That's 90 million per year from one search engine. Do 90 million people search for the name of your website annually? Keep in mind, these people are all looking for pictures. Do your sites contain pictures? Even if you guys dislike the ICM Registry, you have to admit that a domain like Imagen.xxx is one of those "no duh" domains that simply WILL sell to somebody at some point. Maybe a non-adult site will take it for brand protection. Then it's lost as far as adult webmasters are concerned. Even if I were to let go of this domain some day, you know for a fact that the ICM Registry would snap it up as a premium domain and then sell it themselves. And who would you rather see get the sale -- the ICM registry or an independent guy? 90 MILLION annual Google searches, guys. And nobody who visits your site will EVER forget the domain name. I mean, it's Spanish for "image" + "XXX"; and they're searching for adult images. Remembering the name of your site means that they're likely to be return visitors. Why not tap into 90 million annual searches -- especially when the brand name is as sticky as fly paper? |
good luck with that one
