I personally think it is people trying to ruin other peoples business. I got the same exact email. Its been going on for the last 2 weeks and they keep targeting certain sites.

I got a spam "for" them this morning that made me think it was somebody trying to sabotage them. I don't remember what exactly it was, but it was something really bizarre.

The ballsier part is where you opened an e-mail titled "download cp movies"

Some come with IPs... Trace the IP...Domains that IP bought in the last few weeks.

It could be, but I think they are just using old webmaster email lists. Stolen nats member databases have been offered for sale for years, so one could assume they also took the affilate databases as well.
