Is this a SCAM about White Label Dating?
I stumbled upon a not-so-recent article at the Channel 4 News Investigation website. It's about one of Britain's biggest internet dating companies, Global Personals, having scammed its members with countless fake profiles called "pseudos" and making them pay more than the registration fee.
I can't embed the video on this page but fortunately, the producers uploaded the same video in Youtube. It looks like Global Personals runs a White Label Dating site. This makes me wonder if there are still honest dating companies nowadays who operate with a little integrity. |
I feel like all dating sites use fake profiles to an extent.

Fake dating profiles.. damn what next someones gonna tell me the girls Bangbus picks up are in on it?

Working in the dating field for a few years the answer is yes. Most do have fake profiles or profiles they purchased from another site. this is a must for start up companies to show activity for new members. Generally they have staff answering emails etc but once the growth happens they generally phase them out. Those who claim to have 100% real generally have purchased profiles from other companies or made arrangements to mirror the profiles or simply - are lying saying that because they do have people who answer (staff as I said before) they can get away with saying it.

I think from an affiliate perspective the more the dating site does to convert members the better. Last time I checked affiliates want to be paid more and more for their traffic so something has to happen to increase the value of the joins.

Those ads on tubes are crazy.. yeah, hot busty model waiting for some looser to fuck her in his town. These sites are nothing but scam, that is why I do not promote them. Can't believe the GFY moralists bitch hard about x-sales but not about this.
|
they admitted to doing this (and supposedly stopped it) years ago.
cupid plc is the one in the crosshairs of the UK media right now for these practices, and their stock price is taking a beating for it. |
OMG !!! dating sites use fake profiles !!
NO FUCKING WAY !!!! |
Oh noes, my internet GF is fake? |
I don't know of any good white label dating program with good reviews...especially in the US!

I'm more gobsmacked that a 'news' company needed to do an 'investigation' to 'reveal' their findings.
