Affiliates: Tell Me The Video Lengths You Want
 

Hello Affiliates!

In about a month i will be re-launching my Affiliate Program PeabodyCash with all-new promo tools and, best of all, all new videos for tubes, blogs and other sites. But I'd like to know how LONG the video promos should be. What are the lengths you're looking for to help you make sales?

PeabodyCash will feature 15 Paysites for promotion and each one will have multiple video promos ready for the re-launch (along with FHGs, ZIP sets, banners, etc). Then, once a week like clockwork I'll be adding new galleries, banners and more promo videos for you all. :)

Here are some choices:

30 seconds
1 minute
2 minutes
3 minutes
"Full" videos (5-7 minutes)

So let me know how long you would like the videos to be, what length works best for helping you do your work (and make YOU money) and I will get those videos together for everyone.

for me personally, those durations you already posted would cover all my needs, with a healthy choice of compilation trailers for use in headers around the 90 - 120 seconds mark.

2 minute videos work great for me, although I'm not part of your affiliate program.

no more than 2 minutes, 1 minute is enough for surfer to see what is this video all about.
5-7 is just stupid to give away, like you said its almost "full video" so not much encouragement to buy

1,2,3 minutes would be good. But I would also make available what you share with various tube CPP programs. If you do not then it's essentially favoring these tubes over your long time affiliates. Many may not actually use those longer videos but sometimes it's the thought that counts. No one wants to feel that they are "second class".

It's not so much the length of the video as much as it is the usable content within it. I've seen some companies put out 1 minute videos where 15-30 seconds (25-50% of the video) of it does nothing but show the site's url on a black background. That's not really helpful. In fact it's a negative for an affiliate since it encourages the user to type in the url to bypass the affiliate getting commission for the sale.

I agree with you totally! This why I listed "full videos" as a choice (although honestly they aren't "full" videos; a "full" video would be about twenty minutes LOL).

The vids will have pre-and post- roll credits, opening and closing sequences basically, and will be watermarked so it's almost impossible to avoid that "a surfer will type-in the URL". That will happen regardless with a watermark.

But giving the affiliates what they need, and being equal with them (treating them the way i treat tube site CPP's) is key and will be done! :)
