Warning about hotmail.com outlook.com and twitter!
 

Microsoft has launched a new email program called outlook.com and lots of old hotmail users are upgrading to it.
I think its microsofts answer to all the extra functionalities in gmail and people switching over to gmail.
I have a hotmail account that I have been using forever for my personal emails and some of my business emails for a very long time.
Now one of my friends that upgraded asked me why a picture of gay sex was showing on my emails.......

I have a normal picture on hotmail so I told her to install an antivirus program and run it. She found nothing so I started thinking that my old msn messenger was hacked or something but it all did not make sense.

Then my girlfriend upgraded to outlook and she saw the same gay picture! I saw a link to twitter under that picture and bang!!! I then realised!
Outlook is using pictures that people have on twitter!!!!!!!!

And since I one used my personal emailaccount to set up a twitter account to get some traffic going to this gay paysite it was now showing that picture. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Seems there is a setting in twitter so you can disable this so I did it as fast as I can but according to information from microsoft they need a few days to stop it showing.

just say one of your friends uploaded it on your profile as a joke.

I find the 'upgrade' pretty annoying, but maybe some will like it.

So glad now that I didn't setup my Twitter with a personal account

Why even use Outlook? Switch to gmail, a lot better and reliable

so how does it know your twitter account?

I was not using outlook. Others were. I am still on hotmail and have been so since around 1997. I also have gmail but mostly for the docs

When you sign up for twitter you have to give an emailadress in case you lose your password. They seem to have a setting saying let others find me by emailadress that you have to untag (upsell!!!) Outlook abuses that setting. I think the setting was not there yet when I signed up for twitter.

Pretty damn close actually!
Its also a good portrayal of what I felt like after I found out outlook.com uses twitter profile pictures.
