Hi guys! I need a CMS for a mainstream site
Long time no see! :)
I'm starting a little project and need a good content management system. It's for a "yachts for sale" listing site. I'd like something that will allow the user to pay a fee, upload their pics, descriptions, and fill out appropriate fields pertaining to their listing. Would resemble a real estate listing site I suppose. I only began to do a search and figures I could save a ton of time by simply asking my peeps here. :upsidedow I hope all of you are doing well. I miss GFY! Any help would be greatly appreciated. :helpme It would also be helpful to refer me to a good, goto guy for customizing and tweaking the site here and there as we go. Thanks ahead of time! |

That was the main thing I kept finding after looking into it. I guess I'm trying to complicate things as usual. I just found a plugin that should work http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-property/
But my question is... Will it be easy to set it up to take paypal? I hope that's not a dumb question. It's been a while. I'll go start reading and get caught up. It used to be just for basic blogging. |

why not just pay for something. isn't WordPress a little over saturated bullshit by now ?

Setting up a special role to upload images is part of this basic shopping cart system? Sorry for all the questions. In the past, I'd have someone just do this for me but I think I'm gonna tackle it myself for now, just to get it up and running. There is a local boat show this weekend and I may just be able to have something in place by then, I hope. Thanks for all the tips. Please keep 'em coming! I always feel like there's something I'm forgetting... |
what if users should have an account, login and edit/delete their listings? Is wordpress still good for that too, I mean is it easy to set up? I don't mean that users login to backend, but to frondend and sees all their ads, then choose which one to edit, delete etc.
