Post of the day.
It's been a while since people posted their wealthy toys around here. I recall all the 'my new house', 'my new wheels' and so on threads, lot's of graphic pics showing off. There were days you'd say. The drive, the beat - it turned into a routine everyday job for many of us.
I'm not here to force you do it, in fact, it doesn't matter for me. And it feels like we here at gfy are getting older. So miserable stuff doesn't matter, it's a troll call if someone does it. It was kinda 'sexy' ( a totally American word, broad meaning of it would embrace the infinite tits and bums at once ) to share an office set ups, back yard grill good times and other "well-being" photos. The day you sit at your porch ( yes, the one that belongs to you not to the bank ), drive your car ( yes, the fully paid one ) it actually is fun to look back at those crazy days. And it doesn't make me think about material world much, I'm trying to catch up with my dreams, those dreams I have had when I was a 'dreamer' age, the day the dreams I had used to tear me apart on a single notice... The Big dreams, not miserable money making strategies, office games, wise career search, but the Big ones, those where you could make yourself an Astronaut or someone really important. Just looking back at those days I begin to think I should have listened to my heart, my youthful desires to accomplish the mission I was into so much at that time. So where did it go? When did I lose the connection to my dreams? |

I feel you, dude. But, what is a dream if you let it die?
I still have those dreams and am pursuing them, aggressively. No, I haven't been a millionaire, but this business has bought me many beautiful watches, clothes, food and endless toys for my kids, several cars and motorcycles and a bunch of worthless crap. However, even those small victories are much larger than most could afford, where I grew up. Many are still in the same rutt they've been in since childhood. They look at me like, "He made it", when in the grand scheme, I really haven't 'made it' at all. Sorry for the rant. Great post, BTW. |

Sometimes those dreams get put on hold when:
1. Your daughter signs up for college and you step up to finance it. 2. Back surgery sidelines you for 7 months and puts the kibosh on income. 3. The U.S./Canadian currency exchange hits par and you lose that lucrative 40% bonus. 4. The 128-yr-old house needs a new roof, furnace, central air and basement renovation after major flooding. Such is life... |

Life can really get in the way of living can it not....life holds so much good and joy...but it seems that doom and gloom rule the roost today, and it gets deeper as our governments play stupid games with our life's....more I get the more they take....then it is all gone....now what....now I'm fucked and my wife....what now...it is all bullshit...we keep on going down the road of life...but we now have no way to see where the hell we are going.....keeping the faith...until I can't do it anymore....
