who the fuck is JavBucks and why have I been signed up for an affiliate account with them when I have never even heard of them, let alone provided them with any of my personal information????? Who sold their webmaster list to these guys?????

I think they are the same company as Idol Bucks, so if you are registered there, maybe they imported your details. They run several Japanese programs.

Idol Bucks used to be one of my top sponsors years ago, they are good guys.

hrmmm...yeah it seems they are the same owners as Idolbucks.com & Gravurecash.com. But the fucked thing is that I have never signed up for any of those programs either.

This stinks of Media Revenue Services, the only other time I was automatically signed up for an affiliate account for another company was with them!!!

Define "good guys" please. I don't think they are so good for Japanese studios.

I got one of these as well. There are several possibilities that come to mind.

1) An affiliate manager who you know took their book of business to JAVBucks.
2) Someone sold their webmaster list to JAVBucks.
3) Someone hacked a sponsor program and stole their webmaster list to sign up lots of webmasters hoping to collect a few webmaster referral bounties.

I have never signed up for any of these companies - but just got their spam this morning with a username/password saying I signed up... sounds legit :2 cents:

Well, good for webmasters I guess in that they always pay, zero troubles over the years.
But yeah their content is a little sketchy. I still get takedown notices for their promo material every so often.

what if they were sending cross sales to a new webmaster program, then imported all of our details to that new webmaster program and made it look like we were sending the sales. That would create a ready to sell webmaster program.

Recently learned they were connected somehow to GravureCash and IdolBucks - "The companies are different but the guys are from the same crew" whatever that means.

Anyhoo, if you're an affiliate of one of them, that's probably where they got your email address.

Found the same email in my spam box, real lowlife shit if its actually from them.

But I do not promote them anymore, their sites from Idols Bucks got extremely overpromoted on the net.
