It's fun for someone who enjoys watching it behind the scene to see billions of desperate creatures gaining and losing their fortune. There's no limit, no absolute, no measure in anything existing in present time and space, just undefined life and death all over it. Everything is both good and bad at the same time and nothing really matters.

As you get older you understand more.

Having a child is a example. Before I was a father, I lived for me. I did what I wanted and ate when I wanted. As a father everything is dictated by your child. I have friends who call me up and say "Let's go bike riding Sunday". Well, I can't because I don't know what my kid's plans are Saturday night and I can't be an hour from home when my kid is calling me from my front door telling me she can't get in the house or needs a ride.

Now that I am 44 and the parent of a teenager, a lot of things about my parents are easier to understand. Our parents knew a lot more about us as kids than we thought. Decisions my parents made about family matters make sense now.

I also think I am much more wiser now. I am no longer interested in impressing anyone; I don't buy new cars every year. I have a 23 year old truck that is like brand new and a newer slightly used Jeep Grand Cherokee and that works fine for me - I cannot have a sports car because I have a kid and my kid has friends, etc.

I've also discovered my non adult friends are much more kinky than I thought.

We don't understand anything. Foolish to think we do. At best we know a little about our immediate surroundings. Nothing more.

'let him think about his actions for the rest of his life' - most murderers have little or no remorse, they are sociopaths. whether the death penalty deters murders is still being debated, some says yes, some say no, some say the studies are flawed and inconclusive.

many people who oppose the death penalty, including me, are against it because even one innocent person killed by mistake is one too many. that's not your reason, you don't believe Adolf Hitler should have been given the death penalty.
