Good point and shoot camera?

Looking for something simple that a non-technical person could use easily. Would like to stay under $200.

Recommendations?

Whatever the current Canon Powershot model is. That camera is consistantly listed as the best PaS under $200.

They look pretty similar, aside from the model number. Either will do.

Yep, canon all the way!... I have had numerous different power shot models and can't recommend them enough. Good quality, reliable and very easy to use! :winkwink:

I have the Canon sx150is ... I bought it last year just before the birth of my daughter, and I have been VERY happy with the purchase ....

What I really love about this kit, is you can set it full automatic, or you can set it on full manual, or anywhere in between ... it's up to you!

I also own a Rebel T3i, but wanted something a little more user-friendly for capturing those spur of the moment "baby milestones", and I have to admit, that this camera's images easily rival the Rebel - a camera that I paid almost 5 times as much for!

The only caveat with the sx150is is that it uses AA batteries ... with duracells you will get about 40-60 flashes, or 150 non-flash pics, but I went and bought a set of 4 Energizer NiMH Rechargeables, and with a full charged pair, and another in my pocket, I can shoot all afternoon (and then some) ...

And the 720p HD video quality is breathtaking for an entry level camera ...

I paid $120 shipping included (NEW sealed box) on eBay! :thumbsup

Samsung GC120 Galaxy Digital Camera

Normally I'm a Canon guy but I had fun playing with this at Verizon, Might be worth looking into.
