man, he was fantastic! what a legendary sportscaster. i remember my dad used to swear that he was drunk some of the times he was announcing games.

He was often drunk during games and admitted as much.

He was a better sportscaster, even while drunk, than most could ever be while sober.

He was awesome! RIP

Summerall and Madden were one of the NFL's best combos. They were great together. RIP
