To the women or even business guys.... about hair color

High!

I have noticed that on TV (UK) that there are lots and lots of adverts for hair color products especially from L'oreal

In the adverts they have fairly young models applying the hair color and donning the results, so my question is - are these products aimed at young women?

Why would young women want hair color products if they are not greying yet?

Thanks

B

If you knew what women were all about, you would understand that there is not ONE woman on the planet that is happy with what she was born with. If they are fat? They want to be skinny... if they have big tits, they want small tits... vice versa. Basically they always want what they do not possess... also, young models look better than old grannys on TV.

Aimed at all ages but they assume the woman using it wants to feel young and beautiful once she has dyed her hair.

Those products are aimed for older women who want to look younger.

You can notice the same with anti wrinkle/aging products showing fairly young chicks or dietetic products showing non obese people.

:2 cents:

So would they not get better sales if they had hot older women with greying hair applying the products and then saying "wow, now I am a flawless blonde again in just 5 minutes" - instead of using young models?

SO you are saying that if they use Kate Moss then she would be too old for the advert? SHe is 39yo

In some cases you can see that happening and its not unusual you notice in the same commercial showing up a male partner definitively younger:

--> you put our stuff in your face --> you look younger --> you will be fucking younger guys

Look at this old commercial, the woman is in the 50's and the guy at the end is clearly in the 40's.

My niece is 16 and she has already had about five different hair colors. Nothing crazy, just normal colors. She is a natural brunette so she has gone a couple different shades of blond, a really dark read and jet black among a few others.

Several of my friends have teenage girls and most, if not all, of them have died their hair at least a few times.

imo these aren't aimed at old women hence they don't have wrinkly grannies with long blonde hair. Like Harmon said, almost all women focus on what they haven't got, rather than what they have, hence a woman will dye her bruntte hair blonde, and a week later be telling everyone on facebook how she can't wait to dye it that reddish-brunette colour

I have a 6" goatee that is salt & pepper colored - heavy on the salt :(

I often colored my goatee, but lately have been leaving in natural ...

I think I want it colored again though ... the grey/white makes me look "OLD" .. LOL!

Jel 04-17-2013 03:28 AM

it might be 6" long mate, but how thick is it? :winkwink:

One of the reason I think is that young girls hang out more than old ones and are more crazy about shopping and latest trends meanwhile older women look out for travel, settlement or a good social life.

privatesociety 04-17-2013 04:01 AM

so she can make herself more beautiful and feel better about herself.

Keep up with trends, so they can have the same hair colour as all their friends and any "celebs"

They don't sell hair dye.... they sell confidence and the feel good factor.

BlackCrayon 04-17-2013 04:46 AM

i only knew of a few women who don't dye their hair. they're not old and have been doing it since high school. they typically get highlights more than total dying and any girl serious about dying her hair isn't going to buy it in a box and do it herself, she's going to get it done at the salon.
