Let's say that I have a blog network like http://jerkoffblogs.com , how could I easily redirect those Thumblogger blog posts to similar niche blogs on the network without hurting those page links on SEO or deleting them? :upsidedow

(I know I can edit each post, just curious about the creative ideas)

not sure how you can redirect a post that isn't even responding from the server. :)

Maybe something along the lines of changing x.thumblogger.com to redirect to another blog/directory with .htaccess?

But wouldn't you need access to his .htaccess file?

I meant for my own networks like jerkoffblogs.com that link to the TL blogs. When clicked, the .htaccess in jerkoffblogs redirects it. Not sure about SEO, though, unless I also correctly use 301s, too..

I believe the easiest way would be to mirror the blog names you had on thumblogger and run a search and replace on your local links so say you had

Code:

http://hotchicks.thumblogger.com
you create

Code:

http://hotchicks.jerkoffblogs.com
and then run a search/replace on your local sites, rinse repeat.

Im curious if people know the difference between a directory or free host? As in thumblogger was a free host not directory. The directorys were a totally different animal.
