Glen Beck has claimed that he has proof the federal government has covered up the Boston bombing as being carried out by Chechnya terrorists. He says that the bombing was actually carried out by Saudi nationals and that he has the evidence to prove it. He gives Obama until Monday to admit it or his show will reveal the evidence. Is this just to get extra attention or does he have something more? Glenn Beck has always done a great job at laying out facts in his arguments, but we will see. We do however know that on Monday an anonymous source said that the raids would happen on Friday and obviously that already came true. There is a lot of suspicious things surrounding the Boston bombings, but is it just conspiracy theories at work again?

And if that doesn't prove they are guilty. I don't know what does.

Regardless of the bombings, those two robbed a 7-11, killed a campus cop and hijacked a car and had explosives.

The rest of the info, description and such came out later while he was still in intensive care. The stories on it have been out since sometime yesterday. If you were informed as you think you are you would know that.

Edited in: All of that was apparent in the original post I made by the way, if you read it. The bombing happened Monday. The pictures were released Friday. The article I quoted stated that within hours [after he ided the pictures] the FBI released the pictures. So it would be obvious to anyone with any level of reading comprehension (especially someone like you with your MIT 4.0 GPA) that the identification from the pictures occurred on Friday.

It is quite sad. There are photos of the guys coming with bags and leaving without. There are photos of them within 5 feet of the 8 year old that was killed. They get into a fight with the cops, killing one.

Yeah, my proof is from what I saw/heard. You posted a thread the other night when the chase was happening. I clicked into a link you had in there and then another link to a live feed from a Boston station. This was probably 12:30-1am Central. Thanks for that btw, the national news, over the air, did not cover any of that here. They just stayed on normal programming because noone knew it was the guys who had done the bombing yet. I ended up watching the local Boston feed through out. They did a good job, seemed to get closer than anyone else. ABC later was using the same feed I was watching.

At that point there was a chase going on. There was no talk about it being the Bombers. There was some speculation that it was whoever had killed the MIT cop but even that was stated in very couched terms. What they knew they had was someone that was openly shooting and throwing explosives.

It was not until they had had the big shoot out, some time after 2 in the morning my time, that they said it was the bombers. By that point one of them was dead so they knew who they were dealing with.

So, to think that they are probably innocent is to totally suspend belief. We would have to believe that they were running, with firearms and explosives in possession merely because their pictures had been shown or something like that.

-Or-

We had to believe that the person who got killed was not actually killed in the shoot out and the kid was planted in the boat (or was never in the boat).

I do not think our government is above reproach. I do think that just because I am paranoid does not mean that they are not out to get me. BUT, there are some things that are not conspiracies and that are not engineered.

What blows my mind is that when the MIT cop got shot, no one immediately presumed it was them. They announced that just as we were getting ready to walk the dogs. goodgirl asked, "do you think it is them?" I said, "no doubt." The next day the media acted like it had not dawned on anyone.

Then, how the neighbor walked up to the boat and lifted the tarp; while the cops took an hour to arrest him is kind of funny.

One thing I do wonder is if they ever meant to kill and not just maim. I know that sane people assume a bomb will kill, but I wonder with these guys.

They encountered a few people that were not law enforcement and they all lived when the easiest thing for the bombers to do would be to off them.

Wondering if they had some remorse after the fact. Especially considering the WBC tweet by the younger one.

So that's the only proof?

I am sure maiming was the biggest intent, just because of the type of bomb; they cause a lot of injuries for a significant distance. I don't think they had the balls to off someone up close and personal; the younger one did not want to die, the older brother probably did not care. Here is what we know:

-There are a lot of images and even a video of the two brother walks with bags.

-At least one of the brothers was in the location of where the bomb went off.

-As far as I've seen, there is one image that *maybe* shows he is not wearing a bad after the bomb.

- All police cars have video cameras now. Not one of them shot the chase or the arrest of the older brother. There are also no CCTV of this. Only images from a distance taken by others.

- The media TOTALLY botched this story. Info has been all over. It has been very poorly covered by everyone with conflicting information.

- There was one person "of interest" the FBI had before the brothers were suspects.

- One of the brothers is dead. The other captured.

- The dead brother had ties with terrorists, or at least was warned by Russia he did. The FBI checked him out and even talked to him. He came up clean.

- Everyone who knows them thinks they were set up. Even their friends.

- Everyone else is 100% convinced the brothers are guilty.

- If they did do it, they clearly didn't care about getting caught, or were not finished with their plans. Or, you could argue they didn't do it and that was why they didn't worry.

- In the age of a billion cameras, there is no footage of either brother putting the bags down or any 100% clear shots of both of them without the bags. There is also no footage of any gun battles with them. Only audio. There are eye witnesses who said there was no explosion when the older brother was killed. There are other witnesses who said there was. Either you heard / saw an explosion or you didn't, that is not something you mistake for a car alarm.

- Now it is said one brother ran the other over. Some sources say the brother blew himself up. Some say the police tackled him when he ran out of ammo. There is no proof of either, other than a single image of the dead brother with a large wound on his side.

- Even with the 1000s of police looking for him, it took a single civilian going out for a smoke to find the younger brother in his boat.

- Oddly, when captured, the younger brother did not blow himself up or put up much of a fight. Maybe he was out of ammo and explosives?

**** Boston was more or less militarized in a matter of a day, they went door to door without warrants and everyone just let them in, choosing safety over their personal property rights. Out of this entire story, THAT is the most impressive and disturbing part of the whole thing. An entire city just rolled over out of fear of one 19 year old kid.

Having said all of that, that is a very confusing, messy story with very little actual proof of anything other than what we have been told and a single image showing one brother possibly not having on a backpack. At this point it doesn't matter if they are guilty or not, because one is dead and the other may as well be. I would think that with all the cameras on police cars, all the CCTV around the city, and everyone who has a phone, that there would be more public visual evidence of the case and capture, or more images of them without the backpacks. There is no shortage of images them IN the backpacks, but only one questionable image of one brother without (unless I haven't seen them). So yea, very messy story. A lot of questions to be answered.
