Adultsitecms vs Porncms
 

Anybody have any opinions on these low cost cms?
Pro's and con's

both are low cost and not the same as elevated x

Hey Bman, I have a couple clients using Adultsitecms'other product www.clickcastx.com and they are happy with the product and the service if that helps at all. One of them is opening up a site with Adultsitecms on Monday, so I don't have any feedback yet except, "It looked easy enough." lol

Adultsitecms.. I did some work on it and hated it, a real mess, but thats my personal oponion.´I suupose if you pretty much keep the style its o.k but when you start changing things around, it gets messy fast.

It is wordpress based so that is what it is working off...certain limitations it looks like.

i tried adultsitecms, worst experience... nothing worked right from the get go , wordpress slugs & ftp & finding content via slugs..and support just wasnt support... might work for you.. elevated-x, carma, custom cms but not ascms.. :2 cents:

its all based on your budget. if you only have $50 to build a porn site - well you should quit now lol. if you have a high budget and want to spend more money than you need, buy ElevatedX. if you want the same functionality, an easier to use interface, and want to pay less per month, get PornCMS.

we get a lot of people coming over to PornCMS from every other cms, including at least 2-3 a month from ElevatedX. the main complaints we get from ex-ElevatedX users are that their template system is hard to use, their customs designers are overworked (projects are always late), and that its overpriced.

fyi ElevatedX and Carma both use Smarty templating, which is horrible and outdated..

I have not coded a public release of a paysite cms.....yet, however this statement is very true. Smarty is a very unnecessary feature when HTML, CSS and basic php are far more natural and easier to work with.

Oh yes, that thing stunk. I tried, and tried, and tried,.... and failed.

tried both, dumped both. look somewhere else for good quality sites

I´ve worked with wp loads of times, even as a tour/members area combo. WP is great.. the script however is horrible.

ok i went back through my very old email archives and figured out who you are. you tried our software in 2010, which was a very old version. its completely different now. you had problems converting your mp4 files (in 2010). this was your exact complaint about the cms (back in 2010):

"Your CMS looks fine and works great but for some reason video not encoding .. maybe ffmpeg not setup, server overload and crashes encoding, some reason is ."

the tech for server-based video conversion has advanced quite a bit since 2010. ffmpeg has been upgraded to version 0.6 since 2010. every codec and library has been upgraded since 2010. the cms today is definitely not the same as the cms of 3 years ago.

our cms processes hundreds of videos every day from many different types of source files. we also added an auto config to automatically update the codecs and specs of an output file based on the source file. that didn't exist back in 2010. we have zero complaints or problems now converting videos.

i do understand your frustration with a very early/old copy of our cms, but i don't think its very accurate to bash my product based on trying it 3 years ago. we've done hundreds of upgrades and add-ons since 2010. if you'd like to try it again, i can give you a free year of hosting. just let me know..
