Affiliate Reps that have truly helped you?

Yesterday, Sarah Jayne and I were discussing the reps from back in the day
who actually took the time to teach us how this business works, when we first
started and knew damn-near nothing about traffic. This came about after I spent
a good 30 minutes, teaching one of my affiliates how to optimize his media buys.
[ He has given me permission to post his numbers as he progresses! ]

People dont forget stuff like that. I know I dont forget the people who taught me.
Sometimes, you learn from just watching your favorites do their thing.

Have you contacted an Affiliate Manager who held your hand, walked you through
or taught you something valuable that helped your conversions?

Do tell.

Chris 04-25-2013 11:09 AM

Mario from paper street cash is pretty fucking awesome

Vendzilla 04-25-2013 11:13 AM

I remember helping of my clients with scripts and better html practices. Helping them placing upsells better. I could name a couple people I went to their homes for a sit down. Being a rep is one thing, but being an Affiliate rep that is also an Affiliate, you know a little more and I love to help out people when I can.

Captain Kawaii 04-25-2013 11:16 AM

The most helpful, workable reps we work with are
leroy from dti
the grooby crew, telly and seanchai

both are in the sig.:winkwink:

spiederman 04-25-2013 11:33 AM

9/10 dont do shit for you, here's your link and promotools and have fun

one company that deserves a very good word is Crakrevenue. no question is dumb enough for them to anwser, and the employees will always take their time to explain and give tips how to convert.

Denny 04-25-2013 11:35 AM

Daniel from Webcams.com

96ukssob 04-25-2013 11:36 AM

Georgey from JuicyBucks (wow, holy blast from the past) really helped me a ton. I made a good amount of money from them... when they paid

CPA37710T 04-25-2013 11:56 AM

Sly or Nadya from Topbucks were the best support ever, sincere and straight to the point answers, no drama

1 aff manager did do some trouble for me in 2004. I owe him a lot. He is now higher up and has a good life. It proves to me he loves his work. his advice brought me huge advantage in working online. Thanks I.P

Supz 04-25-2013 02:10 PM

Sly, _Richard_, etc. There are a lot of them who are very willing to help out.

helping people, you can tell. I friggin LOVE that!
:thumbsup

Rope showing when I was brand spanking new = Rowdy from CE.

Getting things done/solved/allowed = SteveG from Vivid, Michal (sp?) from communicon/2ndnamechange/orgycash.

Sarah_Jayne 04-25-2013 02:23 PM

Most of the people that really helped me learn what I was doing were TGP and link list owners. Off the top of my head - Tam, Lisa Marie (used to run Go Postal and a bunch more TGPs), Shemp, Greenguy and JJJ.

As I moved into the support side, there are folks that I have always had good experiences with on a b2b level. Sam from Mr. Skin is the first person that just jumped into my head.

yeah one of the very nicest guys I've ever 'met' in my life, let alone in the biz. I often, even now, look at some of the shit I post when in 'gfy mode' and think to myself 'man, I need to conduct myself more like Rowdy *always* did'. True class act :thumbsup

Arnox 04-25-2013 03:34 PM

Hit Man WMS.

georgeyw 04-25-2013 03:41 PM

I have never really had much if anything to do with affiliate managers. The only one who springs to mind is Shirley, she is extremely helpful - she gets shit done - no ifs or buts.

As an affiliate myself, I take this very seriously and your words are very appreciated.

My first affiliate rep was Biggy (now Fuckyoucash owner) and he is still today one of the guy that i like to talk on a regular basis.

Laura-Lee, Wizzo, Amy and Adam from Cecash are the ones who truely inspired me in how to devlop our support.

Thx again

There was tons of others over the years that made a lot more then sending me links and smilies.

I hope my guys will become legends like the ones named in here.

bns666 04-25-2013 04:49 PM

Terry when he was with kink.com mucho respect, even sent me t-shirt in 2008 to the other side of planet.

Dennis from AWE.

Daiana and Oren from Pussy Cash recently.

:thumbsup

BTW, if you know your shit, you won't need your reps too often.

Props to Ralph from Get Score Cash, Jim from ThickCash and John from Blazing Bucks

woodo 04-25-2013 05:29 PM

Nice thread!! I noticed by helping someone it also makes YOU feel good for some reason....I am new to this whole affiliate biz and could definitely need a mentor to walk me though the process of successful affiliate online marketing..Now I feel I don't know where to start...so if.any one wants to show me their working methodology I would be truly grateful. ? I am a quick learner..icq me at nickname woodo Regards, j

EddyTheDog 04-25-2013 05:44 PM

He was not really a mentor as such - But Sagi was a great rep.

Nothing was too much trouble...

urbanpimp 04-25-2013 05:57 PM

AJ formerly of Loaded Cash is awesome. Always helpful and never hesitated to offer some clever suggestions to draw traffic to my sites....

Imortyl Pussycat 04-25-2013 07:45 PM

Michael from PartnerCash goes above and beyond the call of duty, he rocks!
Oren and Daiana from Pussycash/ImLive are amazing
Fabrice was a superstar both at AFF and at Cupid
All of the team at AFF have always been there to help me and hold my hand
Nick Baauw taught me how to be an affiliate in the adult industry

I teach affiliates every day how to be an affiliate and how to test traffic and optimize. I don't get impatient because I remember all the patience and kindness everyone has shown and still shows me.

Sarah I have to agree with you [while I laugh at all the players that need to blow their own horn cuz no one else will]. It was the fellow webmasters from the early days that were an inspiration to me. Greenguy, JJJ's ,Shemp and Tommy from Tommys Bookmarks were always cordial back in the day when they really didnt need to. Not affiliate reps.

MML was always a big help in looking at things in the days on Picpost and TGP.
But I will have to say the most helpful guy back in the day for many of us wasnt an affiliate rep at all. And he taught many of us how to build banners and links that not only drew clicks but converted.

Andy Dunn wrote that sexswap newsletter each week for a few years and it was a great read. I got more information and tips from that short email in those days than from any affiliate rep or the magazines for that matter.

And after that I consider frequenting Oprano before I bought it or managed it as graduate studies.

The most helpful reps I have seen working with affiliates are also the ones I have had the pleasure of working with in the past 10 years at AEBN. I thanked Erin every day I saw here when I was working in Charlotte for being persistant to get me to sign up and build a custom theatre.

And I would be remiss if I didnt mention the hardest working affiliate manager in the business that works for Kennys Pennies and that would be Spaz. Hes has run pay and free sites as well as produced content which qualifies him to be called the whole damn show.

I just havent worked with many reps in the past as the conversation usually started out with reps saying..."How do I get you to send more traffic?"

I call that panhandling not being helpful.

Oh wow! Thanks Fitz - such kind words - it's always a pleasure to work with you!

And now I get the pleasure of working WITH Selena at MetArt :)

Selena is absolutely amazing, don't know what we would do without her! She is unbelievably bright, witty, hard-working and driven. She goes above and beyond the highest expectations to ensure our affiliates are getting everything needed - including education & resources - to be as productive and profitable as possible. She is truly an asset and I'm so glad to see her recognized - she deserves it!

Yes Biggy - forgot about him, I was amazed at how much time he had for everyone. Always replied whether it was melissa or FYC related.

X_X_ROB_X_X 04-25-2013 10:03 PM

AJ former head AM at Loadedcash. Best AM I've ever worked with. Miss him there dearly.

Lisa_trafficshop 04-26-2013 02:00 AM

I honestly feel so happy when I am able to help people and even more satisfied when the things work out for them. Affiliate managers like Wizzo,Oren,Nadya, Crakmedia team are a great example of dedicated work :)

Same here. Fellow webmasters in the early day's were a gold mine. Andy like you mentioned, Greenie, Tommy, Bill(PMB), Anthony, Nickatilynx, Voltar, Shooter, Wolfshade. To drop a few names :)

Jel 04-26-2013 05:31 AM

If we've switched to fellow webmasters I'll be here all day making a list :)
