MTV had this thing going on today, and through-out the rest of the week, auditions for the 'MC Battle'. They were only gonna audition 1k people today, and cut that number to 64 people who come back 2morrow , battle in pairs, then the winners of that move on to the next round, etc, etc, main event was supposed to be this Saturday, live and shit.

So I thought 'why not', lets go down and try this out. I ended up getting to Times Square 10 minutes to 9am, which was way late considering it was starting at 9 and there would be mad people prolly waiting. I see several groups of hip-hop heads dispersed among the streets, every1 either standing around or walking in opposite directions, and also, a LOT of cops, in groups of 10, 20+. I was wondering why things looked a bit odd, so I turn to this one guy and ask if he's going to the MC Battle thing, and he tells me its over before it started, cancelled. Im thinking its some BS and he prolly thinks Im a moron and will just go back home... but then he tells me he was there since 6:30 am and there was already 2k people waiting, some since the night before. People started shoving each other thirsty to get in the doors and then a riot broke out. I asked a few more people and got the same answer.

I guess thats a good thing. That means they will reschedule and I will get my ass there way early next time. If someone shoves me in line, I will make sure they get a new dental plan compliments of me and mah elbow.
